SO WHAT?
In a good world the best of Islam merges with the best of Christianity and we all live happily ever after contemplating life, the universe and everything from whichever perspective we choose under bo trees the Buddhists have thoughtfully grown for us. In the actual world the worst of Islam merges with the worst of Christianity and the rest of us have to fight, hopefully not literally, up through the layers of shit being piled on us to breathe free air. Buddhism, terrible threat to the Church, you know.
BUDDHISM, YOU KNOW, FRIGHTFUL THREAT TO THE CHURCH (see 'More about

I found this years ago (upon the death of the previous Pope) on a Sri Lankan site, the link to which I have
regrettably lost. People probably find Buddhism more, er Christian, or something. Herr Ratzinger is actually
not out of it. Herr Ratzinger recognizes, which appears to be more than politicians or the Anglican hierarchy
do, that the dominant spirituality amongst those who have any is not orthodox anything but heavily influenced
by Buddhism, Hinduism and Christianity; the Age of Reptiles is over.

Verily, there are many ways of looking at the world.
….
Buddhist Channel reported that the full quote, delivered in an interview with L’Expresse in 1997, went like this:
"If Buddhism is attractive, it's only because it suggests that by belonging to it you can touch the infinite, and you can have joy without concrete religious obligations,'' Ratzinger said. ``It's spiritually self-indulgent eroticism.''
…
In 2000, the National Catholic Reporter published a list of Cardinal Ratzinger’s greatest hits,
including a money quote from the same L’Expresse interview:
"In the 1950s someone said that the undoing of the Catholic church in the 20th century wouldn't come from Marxism but from Buddhism. They were right."
Reportedly, at the time Cardinal Ratzinger was incensed that there were allegedly more Frenchmen studying to be Buddhist monks than Benedictine monks.
Yay, vive la France! There is of course beautiful Buddhist meditation music. There is also Sufi meditation music to soothe the tortured souls of the jihadis.
All through eternity
Beauty unveils His exquisite form
in the solitude of nothingness;
He holds a mirror to His Face
and beholds His own beauty.
he is the knower and the known,
the seer and the seen;
No eye but His own
has ever looked upon this Universe.
His every quality finds an expression:
Eternity becomes the verdant field of Time and Space;
Love, the life-giving garden of this world.
Every branch and leaf and fruit
Reveals an aspect of His perfection-
They cypress give hint of His majesty,
The rose gives tidings of His beauty.
Whenever Beauty looks,
Love is also there;
Whenever beauty shows a rosy cheek
Love lights Her fire from that flame.
When beauty dwells in the dark folds of night
Love comes and finds a heart
entangled in tresses.
Beauty and Love are as body and soul.
Beauty is the mine, Love is the diamond.
They have together
since the beginning of time-
Side by side, step by step.

Where did the bloody idea come from you could translate a foreign equivalent of The Sun into English without knowing the original language?
THE LOVER OF JALALUDDIN RUMI AND SOME THINGS YOU NEVER WANTED TO
KNOW ABOUT TRANSLATION
The nice scholarly people at the Dar-al-Masnavi have a problem with popular 'translations' of Rumi, translations so
loose as to be licentiousness and at times grossly inaccurate.
Yet this popularization [of Rumi] has had a price, and the price is a frequent distortion of Rumi's words and teachings
which permeate such well-selling books. The English "creative versions" rarely sound like Rumi to someone who can
read the poems in the original Persian, and they are often shockingly altered-- but few know this, and the vast majority
of readers cannot but believe that such versions are faithful renderings into English of Rumi's thoughts and teachings
when they are not.
The public has been deceived by the publishers of many of the popular books, who proclaim their authors as
"translators" of Rumi-- when, in fact, very few of them can read Persian. Coleman Barks, from the very beginning,
called his renderings "versions."1 And he has consistently clarified, in both his books and poetry readings, that he
doesn't know Persian and works from the literal translations of others.2 However, subsequent book covers and title
pages proclaim, "Translations by Coleman Barks." And he has been (and allows himself to be) promoted as "widely
regarded as the world's premier translator of Rumi's writings..."3
Where did the idea come from that poets could "translate" spiritual poetry into English without knowing the original

Corrections of popular versions of poems from Rumi's Divan
Or any poetry. Translation is hard work and the only reason outside the classroom for shouldering the burden of
translating poetry is because you wish to share the beauty, eloquence, wit, wisdom, passion or capacity to chill the blood
of the original with those who do not read the language of the original. This would tend to suggest that you are aware of
the beauty, eloquence, wit, wisdom, passion or capacity to chill the blood of the original.
Rumi Love and Ecstasy Poems
The following is a collection of Rumi's ecstatic love poems, translated by Coleman Barks and Shahram Shiva. He spoke
of lover and beloved as well as Lover and Beloved. He was in touch with them being the same, and both as being one.
Barks and Shiva on their site
The important words there are 'translated by' under each verse, a gross deception.
(33573) You are my sultan: means both Shams-i Tabriz, and on a higher level, God alone, the Only Beloved. It is a
characteristic of Persian sufi poetry to be ambiguous in such a way as to refer both to the human beloved and the Divine
Beloved.
Note to You are my sultan: Ghazal 3173. See also About the Divan and The Song of Songs:
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.
Here are four versions of some lines by Rumi, all but the Flecker taken from Corrections of popular versions of poems
from Rumi's Divan. I don't read Persian either. In case you do, let us start with the transliteration:
33. from Rumi's Ghazal no. 2395, translated by Arberry, "Mystical
Poems of Rumi: Second Selection," pp. 80-81.

Here is Arberry:
[accurate translation by Arberry: "I saw my sweetheart wandering
about the house; he had taken a rebec and was playing a melody.
With a plectrum like fire he was playing a sweet melody, drunken
and dissolute and charming from the Magian wine. He was
invoking the sâqî in the air of Iraq; the wine was his object, the
sâqî was his excuse. The moonfaced sâqî, pitcher in his hand,
entered from a corner and set it in the middle....
He was beholding his own beauty, and saying to the evil eye,
'Never has there been, nor shall there come in this age, another like
me.'"]33
Here is Flecker, who had the advantages of both being a poet and being almost certainly able to read Persian; having
decided upon a career in the Consular Service, after Oxford he spent two years at Cambridge specifically to learn
oriental languages.
My darling wandered through the house
His bow upon the rebeck, light as flame
Soft melodies he played, astray with sweet carouse
Mad songs with a name
Then, changing to a solemn mode and measure
“Cupbearer, wine!” he cried,
“Wine for the sons of pleasure,
For the children of desire!”
Forth from his corner came
The moonbright boy, and met the brimming bowl
Before us, with sweet reverence and grace.
My darling took the cup: over his face
Flowed truant flames. “Ye evil ghosts,” he cried,
“I know my beauty: who is like to me?
The sun of all the world, the Lover’s pride,
I am, I was, shall be
With soul and spirit moving at my side.”
This is Coleman Barks:
"My love wanders the rooms, melodious
flute notes, plucked wires,
full of a wine the Magi drank
on the way to Bethlehem.
We are three. The moon comes
from its quiet corner, puts a pitcher of water
down in the center.
. . . . . . .
One watches the gathering,
and says to any cold onlookers,
'This dance is the joy of existence.'"32
You will note some divergence. Since I don't read Persian, I'm not going to attempt to play. I do, however, read Italian.
The name of this game is Chinese whispers. It will be demonstrated (doesn't that sound good?) both that the 'versionmaker'
who cannot read the original may be sadly led astray by even respectable and respected translations and that
even respectable and respected translators can be tempted into sin and error by the demon of poeticism.
Inferno: Canto III
Per me si va ne la città dolente,
per me si va ne l'etterno dolore,
per me si va tra la perduta gente.
Giustizia mosse il mio alto fattore:
fecemi la divina podestate,
la somma sapienza e 'l primo amore.
Dinanzi a me non fuor cose create
se non etterne, e io etterno duro.
Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate".
Thus Dante's inscription over the Gates of Hell. The first question facing the translator is whether he or she is going to
keep the terza rima, the verse-form.
Longfellow bows out on that one and renders it thus:
"Through me the way is to the city dolent;
Through me the way is to eternal dole;
Through me the way among the people lost.
Justice incited my sublime Creator;
Created me divine Omnipotence,
The highest Wisdom and the primal Love.
Before me there were no created things,
Only eterne, and I eternal last.
All hope abandon, ye who enter in!"
'Dolent', Henry? Puh-lease. 'Se non eterne' means literally 'if not eternal' and so Dante is not saying there were no
created things only eternity but that there was nothing created which was not eternal, i.e. nothing mortal. This Norton
renders more accurately. Norton's paradoxically more evocative prose version is as follows:
"Through me is the way into the woeful city; through me is the
way into eternal woe; through me is the way among the lost
people. Justice moved my lofty maker: the divine Power, the
supreme Wisdom and the primal Love made me. Before me were no
things created, unless eternal, and I eternal last. Leave every
hope, ye who enter!"
Sayers' Penguin Classics version (she of Lord Peter Wimsey fame and also a Somerville linguist) is as follows:
Through me the road to the city of desolation
Through me the road to sorrows diuturnal
Through me the road among the lost creation
Justice moved my great Maker; God Eternal
Wrought me; the power and the unsearchably
High Wisdom, and the primal love supernal.
Nothing ere I was made was made to be
Save through eterne; and I eterne abide
Lay down all hope, you that go in by me.
'Diuturnal' means 'of long duration, lasting'. Come on, admit it. You didn't know that.
To give DLS credit, she somewhere remarks that on the whole she would choose 'I don't like the look of this' over 'this
prospect likes me not one whit'. Clearly many questions of tone face the translator and these may perhaps be
summarized as 'how far can you go?' If you wanted to attract the young, you might be tempted by 'Thissa way folks for
the end of the line!'
Both 'dolente' and 'dolore' carry the suggestion of pain. 'Acqua per bambini che allevia il dolore di stomaco', 'water for
children that alleviates stomach-pain' is in brief gripe-water. DLS in fact notes that 'la citta dolente' is literally 'the
sorrowful city' but 'sorrowful' is 'doloroso' and 'sorrow', 'tristezza', and the point about the damned is that they weren't
sorry.
'The lost creation'? Wasn't that the sequel to Jurassic Park? 'La perduta gente' is literally 'the lost people', the damned;
they hadn't taken a wrong turning on the way to supermarket, believe it. If we look for instance at the jolly fate awaiting
the gluttonous, they wallow in the mire drenched by perpetual rain and gnawed by Cerberus. On entering Nether Hell,
we find the panders and seducers scourged by demons. This hell is not a pain-free zone; it is not merely a question of
sitting around moaning, "Oh woe is me. I am cut off from God for eternity. Eheu, eheu." The pain is the separation from
God externalized, but that will do for another post.
Respected and respectable renditions of the first three lines, then, tempt away from the simple words 'pain' and
'damned'.
So...If I have a go at these lines, the while swearing a mighty oath to refuse, REFUSE, to use words like 'diuturnal':
Through me the road to the city of torment
Through me the road to eternal pain
Through me lies the way to the damned.
But 'si va ne' is 'one goes into', not a noun in sight, however fond our translators are of 'way' and 'road'. As we know
from the world of proverb and cliche, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. These gates are not 'the road to'
anywhere, as in for instance sitting in suburbia one might designate such-and-such a highway as the road to London;
they are the doorway. On the other side is Hell. However, that has to be modified, because immediately on the other
side is Limbo, the pleasant abode, a sort of Christian Elysian Fields, usually designated as that of the virtuous pagans,
those who lived moral lives but died before the time of Christ and so didn't have the opportunity to accept Christ.
It is also the abode of Saladin, Averroes (Ibn Rushd) and Avicenna, which in the context of C13th Catholic theology is
deeply strange, not least because Ibn Rushd is said to have denied the immortality of the soul.
To inject a verb into our three lines, we should get:
Pass through me to the city of torment
Pass through me to eternal pain.
Pass through me to the damned.
I can continue to quibble. 'Tra' means 'in, amongst' so a sense of joining may perhaps be adduced, or perhaps not, since
one can be among a crowd of demonstrators without being part of the demonstration

Why we are being bothered by flat-earthers is certainly due to pure unadulterated evil in high places. The priests know bloody well no-one has given a fuck about it for years. You might say for 2000 years, when there was a hastily suppressed revolution in religious thinking. The New Testament is a revolutionary document on par with The Communist Manifesto. The Church made it its business and still does to attempt to ensure there were no revolutions.
Eating people is wrong.
INSTEAD OF GOD EATING PEOPLE, PEOPLE EAT GOD. SEEMS A GOOD SWAP
And so the story continued to its inevitable hideous ending, and it is a very good story, and which particular dimwits, as
with the Qu'ran, decided that everyone had to take it all literally, and the point was that that was the last time ever there
would be a human sacrifice of blood and pain to this Yahweh guy because he wasn't Moloch, he was the opposite of
Moloch, that it was over, Jesus had broken the game and the 'debt' had been paid in full. Henceforth no-one had to pay
for his or her sins, real or imaginary. Only people didn't get the point. Righteously hanging and burning and flogging
and crucifying people is too much fun to be dropped.
1When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to
death:
2And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.
3Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the
thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
4Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
5And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
6And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the
price of blood.
7And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.
8Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.
9Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the
price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;
10And gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord appointed me.
11And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus
said unto him, Thou sayest.
12And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.
13Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?
14And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.
15Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.
16And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.
17Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas,
or Jesus which is called Christ?
18For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.
19When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just
man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
20But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
21The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said,
Barabbas.
22Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be
crucified.
23And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
24When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his
hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
25Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
26Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
27Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
28And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
29And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed
the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.
31And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him
away to crucify him.
32And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.
33And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,
34They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.
35And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the
prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
36And sitting down they watched him there;
37And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
38Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.
39And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,
40And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God,
come down from the cross.
41Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,
42He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we
will believe him.
43He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
44The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.
45Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
46And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my
God, why hast thou forsaken me?
47Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.
48And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to
drink.
49The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
50Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the
rocks rent;
52And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
54Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were
done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
55And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:
56Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children.
57When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:
58He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
59And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
60And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the
sepulchre, and departed.
61And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.
62Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,
63Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.
64Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him
away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
65Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.
66So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
Mark 27
PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE GOD: HE REALLY DOESN'T APPRECIATE IT
If the country is to have a god, it should I think be a vulnerable, bleeding, sorrowing, sighing god, one you want to help,
get him down from that bloody cross, give him some water, where are the medics - unless of course you are shithead
who despises 'weakness' and worships power - who assumes busily anyone condemned by 'the authorities who know
what's best' is a bad person.
The story screams a great many things unpalatable, impossible or intolerable to hierarchical legalistic little minds.
No, no, it's God who takes the knocks. He's big enough to carry it. Human bodies break too easily.
God is Man. What you do to humans you do to God and he cries out in pain.
The relationship between God and Man redefined, realigned, not what the little hierarchical legalistic minds had made
it.
When people say they feel Jesus is their friend, they are talking about something else besides the internal dialogue. You
cannot be frightened of a guy hanging from a cross or for that matter of a babe in a manger.
Hence among other things the monopolizing of 'interpretation' by the Magisterium and the historic hostility to people
reading the Bible for themselves.
It is a very dangerous story and everything had to be, was and often is done to neutralize it.
My poem continued:
If as thyself then equally
No way you matter more than he
Love's no prize for docility
Thy neighbour and thy enemy...
It's why they nailed him to a tree
This God who wants a dead Rushdie.
There is a very long (eight Web pages) article from the New Yorker on Ratzinger and Islam here, where it is recognized
that it's not the same God.
The most zealous of God's self-appointed representatives on earth, hate human, human has to be crushed, in order for
'divine' to hold sway, but there is no difference and when they ought to be teaching people how to deal with 'human', to
be reconciled within, all they can come up is thou shalt not. They hate people for being people and any excuse will do to
punish them. The first deformity is of course that you have to subscribe to their particular fantasy in order to be a proper
whatever, to be accepted in the club. They don't want people to be people, they want people to be what they say people
should be.
Most of us therefore fall at the first hurdle, all that evil secularism having established our right to be people.
The 'evils of secularism' apart from the straightforward stopping the fun of sadists and other freaking nutters are:
feminism - women being people
gay rights - gays being people
independent thought - people being people
sex - people being people
They assume the right to dictate to others. That is the great divide, the unquestioned assumption of rights over the hearts
and minds of others. Again it is simply a question of two separate continuums.
So they continue their conspiracy against people, everything reduced to 'thou shalt not', and Neu Arbeit continues its
relentless campaign against reason and love, the intellectual and moral bases of the nation, and one can only wonder
how much they're paid, though as a good Marxist it's not so much who owns whom that interests me as who owns what,
which would seem to me the basis for their apparent fixation that resistance is useless; as a good modern Marxist I don't
want to nationalize anything but I do rather dwell on the concept of sequestration, having a mild objection to the notion
of my country having been bought and paid for by a bunch of diseased fucks. If thanks to the ministrations of our
frankly fascist government, we consequently end up with what thinks it's going to be Islamic Britain, and England's
answer to Indiana Jones rescues the first victim of a public flogging, at least we all know who'll replace the intended
victims on the whipping-post
I am not required to care about the ravings of some fucktard nutter in a church in the Bible Belt and I am not required to care about the ravings of some fucktard nutter in a mosque in Tower Hamlets. The sooner some Muslims gets the hang of the idea that no-one gives a fuck about their good ole hellfire and brimstone legalistic religion and any priests and Jews buttering them up with ape-shit about Abrahamic faiths are lying through their teeth because no-one gives a fuck about Abraham either, the happier we all shall be. Abra-who? There is no reason to suppose a particular kind of religious Jew is any fonder of Jesus’ views than his ancestors were 2000 years ago and doubtless wishes to cosy up to flat-earth Islam with which he has so much in common. Other Jews of course don’t have a problem.
http://www.kabbalahsociety.org/wp/articles/an-interview-with-zev-ben-shimon-halevi/
I certainly think there is Jewish involvement in my own situation. There are two kinds of Jew, what you might call Israeli Jews even if they’ve never left Hendon, who have learned that you don’t walk into the ovens (though you might also call them Cable Street Jews) , and appeasers eager to placate the anti-semitism of Muslim and Christian alike. I think, as my non-existent readers of course know, that because I have Jewish in-laws and it is inconceivable to filthy little Catholic savages that non-Jews can marry Jews in the alt-reality in which the sick mad animals of UCH dwell I am supposed to be Jewish so naturally Jews took an interest in my situation. Naturally it has for 20 years been 'impossible' to openly establish the facts.
Say this for Mohammed, the Qu’ran probably isn’t as totally mad as the OT. Don’t think Allah worries about rabbits and ferrets. As I have remarked elsewhere, really someone should tell HM about the swan. She is after all the Head of the Church of England. She needs to know these things. The ravings of ‘the Lord Thy God’ below are the level to which the inutterably evil are determined to reduce us. In the Bible, innit. You gotta have respect.
Leviticus 11King James Version (KJV)
11 And the Lord spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.
3 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.
4 Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
5 And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
6 And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.
8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.
13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
15 Every raven after his kind;
16 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
18 And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,
19 And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
20 All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.
21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;
22 Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind.
23 But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.
24 And for these ye shall be unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the even.
25 And whosoever beareth ought of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
26 The carcases of every beast which divideth the hoof, and is not clovenfooted, nor cheweth the cud, are unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean.
27 And whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean unto you: whoso toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even.
28 And he that beareth the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you.
29 These also shall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after his kind,
30 And the ferret, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole.
31 These are unclean to you among all that creep: whosoever doth touch them, when they be dead, shall be unclean until the even.
32 And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be cleansed.
33 And every earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break it.
34 Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which such water cometh shall be unclean: and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.
35 And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean and shall be unclean unto you.
36 Nevertheless a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water, shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcase shall be unclean.
37 And if any part of their carcase fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean.
38 But if any water be put upon the seed, and any part of their carcase fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.
39 And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even.
40 And he that eateth of the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he also that beareth the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
41 And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten.
42 Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.
43 Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.
44 For I am the Lord your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
45 For I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
46 This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:
47 To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.
Beauty unveils His exquisite form
in the solitude of nothingness;
He holds a mirror to His Face
and beholds His own beauty.
he is the knower and the known,
the seer and the seen;
No eye but His own
has ever looked upon this Universe.
His every quality finds an expression:
Eternity becomes the verdant field of Time and Space;
Love, the life-giving garden of this world.
Every branch and leaf and fruit
Reveals an aspect of His perfection-
They cypress give hint of His majesty,
The rose gives tidings of His beauty.
Whenever Beauty looks,
Love is also there;
Whenever beauty shows a rosy cheek

"Through me the way is to the city dolent;
Through me the way is to eternal dole;
Through me the way among the people lost.
Justice incited my sublime Creator;
DLS in fact notes that 'la citta dolente' is literally 'the
sorrowful city' but 'sorrowful' is 'doloroso' and 'sorrow', 'tristezza', and the point about the damned is that they weren't
sorry.
'The lost creation'? Wasn't that the sequel to Jurassic Park? 'La perduta gente' is literally 'the lost people', the damned;
they hadn't taken a wrong turning on the way to supermarket, believe it.
These gates are not 'the road to'
anywhere, as in for instance sitting in suburbia one might designate such-and-such a highway as the road to London;
they are the doorway.

9Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the
price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;
36And sitting down they watched him there;
37And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the
rocks rent;

13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
15 Every raven after his kind;
21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;
