Hag-faced dolls on music-boxes wound by a key
Look at the butchers
Blood-stained pinnies
Waddling around wound by a key
Crippling filth
Murdering monkeys
Criminal animals on music-boxes
Wound up by a key
With apologies to Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang. Not human. Unreachable by human means. Wind-up toys. The key is plugged into their back and turned. Zombies. Walking-corpses. Think my first analogy was the golems in Discworld who run off the words on a piece of paper in their heads. The realities of the external world do not and cannot penetrate. Live in a mental world that exists solely in their heads.
In that world of course you can’t be a writer. You can’t create things of truth and beauty. You can’t be educated. You can’t cite the simplest most basic facts of history, intellectual history, political history, unknown to the animals. You cannot create. You cannot have original ideas. You cannot think. You cannot have an independent mind. You cannot be a graduate of the University of London. It is forbidden!
You certainly can’t be more intelligent than a bloody nurse.
And of course you are intellectually and emotionally helpless, having been kept in that state, the state of a two year old, by your foul anti-educators. You are incapable of self-control, containing what you think and feel and of self-command, changing what you think and feel. You must be kept in your bubble at all cost, divorced from reality.
Like anyone else insane, some guy who thinks he’s Napoleon, living in a world that simply doesn’t exist.
The facts are, tedious and boring though it is, the facts. I am who I say I am, related and otherwise connected to those to whom I say I am, with a medical history that is as I say it is and a CV that contains what I say it contains. There was a era in history called the Enlightenment. There is a body of thought called Marxism. There was an English Civil War. There was a revolution in France which began in 1789 and an American Declaration of Independence. There was even a revolution in Russia. That there are many many bodies of thought in the world, the contents of some of which are directly opposite to the contents of others, is also fact. That people disseminate ideas in books is fact, as are the invention of printing and the institution of compulsory education, enabling people in the free world to imbibe a variety of ideas.I have discoursed largely upon reality, about those things which can't be changed, among which of course is me. There is absolutely nothing anyone can do to stop me being the daughter of Barrington Stockwell Howard and Kathleen Constance Palmer. They cannot make it that I did not graduate from Bedford College, University of London. They cannot make Bedford other than it was. There is a street-lamp outside my window. Certainly it can be removed but it cannot cease to exist because someone insists it isn't there. What has happened has happened. You can wish it hadn't happened. You can seek its causes. You can work towards its not being repeated. You cannot alter the fact of its having happened You can of course also feel bloody pissed-off with those who insist a bad thing is good.I am of course an inner and eso kind of gal, in fact most precisely, like Dill, I combine my father's rationalism with a profound esotericism; equally of course I am human and living in the world, in consequence of which I have - explored my outer and exo aspects, aka my politics, my heritage. I was content to express my exoteric through long walks in touch with nature and through creative writing. Naturally everyone has views but mine are rather unexceptionable among normal civilized educated people. I ceased to be among such people and indeed the country ceased to be governed by such people. The lunatics have taken over the asylum. Surrounded by Newspeak, oh indeed telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act. It happens that I am the product of four revolutions,, Marxism, the Enlightenment, feminism and the discovery of Eastern religion and spirituality in the Sixties, and of course I am a product of Anglican England. Unfortunately I'm not gay; if I were I should embody everything the Vatican hates. Four out of five is pretty good.
http://www.dillsplace.com/exo-eso-balance-balrogs-et-le-parti-communiste-francais-1939-1945.html
So: you can infuriate and indeed distress me beyond belief; you can create an infrastructure composed of gross lies; you have of course, being the beyond pathetic filthy animals you are, wrought physical changes to my body – indeed your method of fighting shows beyond doubt what trash you are, mindless vermin who think they convince me of anything by assaulting me. But you cannot change a single external verifiable fact.
Yea, the Moving Finger writes and having writ…Nor all your Piety not your wit because you have none can cancel out a word of it.
You cannot counter me with argument because your logic is flawed and your so-called facts are lies. Therefore you conduct yourselves as the mad ape has conducted itself throughout history. But you have not changed and cannot change a single external verifiable fact.
History has overthrown you and it is of course grotesque, evil, treason, beyond obscene, etc, etc, etc, that you should have been given free rein to break my body and derail my life. And you caper in triumph but you have not changed and cannot change a single external verifiable fact. You alter nothing, neither the solstice gatherings at Stonehenge, nor the success of Led Zep, nor the numerous pagan, secularist and humanist gatherings held in Brighton. You do not for that matter alter that when my mum was 7, which was 1927, she was given a book called Gods and Heroes full of Greek and Roman myths (cleaned up) as a prize for something or other; you do not alter that anyone not wholly at ease with the gods and goddesses of the classical world, part of the mental furniture, is a total loon. You could start with the C17th French playwrights Racine and Corneille, who made their living rendering classical stories in alexandrins. You do not for that matter eliminate Cream’s Tales of Brave Ulysses or The Herd’s From the Underworld. You do not make cease to exist the Brighton Buddhist Centre or the weekly Tai Chi in the Park session or the Brighton Naturist Beach. You do not eradicate millions of people who happily have sexual relations without the need of marriage and do not possess your grotesque primitive neuroses about virginity and millions more who do not possess your grotesque primitive neuroses concerning the human body. Yup, it’s where ‘I’ lives. I used to be quite proud of it, but it’s a bit ravaged now. The stuff on the outside is called skin. Everyone has it. There are three reasons for covering it up: skin cancer in summer, frostbite in winter and it’s reached the stage where it’s not pretty. Think I’ll give that naturist beach a miss. .
Brighton Buddhist Centre has had a presence in the city for over 40 years
We believe that Buddhism and Meditation has a great deal to offer.
For people who want to change themselves, and the world.
That's why we are still here.
We offer Meditation classes, Meditation and Buddhism courses, Yoga Classes, Yoga + Meditation,Tai Chi
Mindfulness Courses (MBCT) and Mindfulness for living well with pain and illness,
and a lot more, see below
I’ve actually seriously only just found this. Think I might drop in.
You do not of course eradicate millions of books and Webpages and libraries containing matter offensive to or hostile to your ridiculous beliefs, by no means least acres of science.
When all the people who note you are a wordless mindless butcher are prone and bloodied at your feet, you alone left standing, you are still a wordless mindless butcher, stupid, ignorant, irrational, illiterate.
You do not change a single thing about me. You do not stop me being the daughter of Barrington Stockwell Howard and all the rest of it. You do not change my having graduated from the University of London and qualified for membership of British Mensa. You do not erase from my mind all knowledge and experience. You do not eliminate communities of pagans, secularists, atheists, naturists, Buddhists, humanists here in Brighton as throughout England.
You do not change the millions of books on goddesses and alternative belief-systems as on quantum physics and mathematics, on geology, on natural history indeed available to the entire world on Amazon.
Shall we talk for a minute about Kindle Unlimited. Kindle Unlimited is Kindle’s lending library. You have heard of Kindle, I take it, Blair. It’s the ebook part of Amazon and indeed many ebooks are cheaper than their dead tree copies. For £7.99 a month you can subscribe to Kindle Unlimited, which means you can borrow up to ten books at a time, return them, borrow ten more. You will see that a fast reader can get through 20 books a month for 7.99 or call it 40p each, which is pretty good, and these books are on many subjects, some fact, some fiction, so whatever piques your interest can be freely explored. (Am I explaining the world the mostly normal live in to the political classes? Probably.)
So you can read books on a variety of subjects for very little, which of course you can equally do if you have the time and the legs to haunt charity shops, of which there are a huge number.
Similarly, there is something called YouTube. In common with the rest of the Internet there is a huge lot of crap on it, but there is equally a huge amount of non-crap. There you will find music of all kinds from all over the world. You will also find physics, maths, cosmology, chemistry, natural history, enthusiasts of all kinds sharing their knowledge.
Millions of people view these vids. That is of course millions of people worldwide.
You do not eliminate the thousands, millions of explanations of the world from the most to the least scientific that are not your own.
You remain a ludicrous futile, ridiculous, absurd, sick, vicious, snarling and pathetic animal. The longer you continue this, the more you prove you are a ludicrous futile ridiculous, absurd sick vicious snarling and pathetic animal: a joke.
And so it is evident that across the political spectrum to be a ludicrous futile ridiculous absurd sick and pathetic animal is to the way to go, what is prized, whatever layers of puke they attempt to conceal it with. The futile vicious animal is to remain unperturbed, no demands to be made of it. The futile vicious animal is to rule. Their chief weapon of course is absolute psychosis and ignorance, the animal is to assume it is complete and perfect. On no account is it to become possessed of curiosity and want to learn about the diverse and buzzing world around it.
Shall we talk about Kindle and YouTube. That's apart from the millions of specialist sites on everything from British butterflies to Niels Bohr and Max Born, Byron and Buddha. OK, you type 'quantum physics' into YouTube search. You get a huge number of results. It doesn't stop there. You type 'quantum physics in Arabic' or 'quantum physics in German' and you get a huge number of expositions in Arabic or German. Or you can type 'quantenphysik' or whatever the Arabic is for quantum physics. YouTube is not monolingual. Or you can just type 'string theory' into Kindle search and get 932 books to read. Provided people 1) can read, 2) have internet access and 3) are not hampered by their fucktard governments limiting their internet access, the whole world has access to limitless information on anything anyone wishes to instruct himself or herself about, a great deal of it for free. Project Gutenberg offers 57000 free ebooks: 'You will find the world's great literature here, with focus on older works for which copyright has expired. '
Then there are the free courses offered by serious institutions. At Coursera you can do Data Science from John Hopkins or if you prefer the University of Edinburgh will introduce you to philosophy or the Shanghai Jiao Tong University will teach you Mandarin, Duke will teach you neuroscience and that's not all in English either: .Генетика (Genetics). Harvard offers its own range of free online courses.
“The idea is simple: to publish all of our course materials online and make them widely available to everyone.”
Dick K.P. Yue, Professor, MIT School of Engineering Unlocking Knowledge MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW) is a web-based publication of virtually all MIT course content. OCW is open and available to the world and is a permanent MIT activity. View a list of our most visited courses
People with no more chance of attending MIT in person than they have of flying to the moon are effectively studying there.
All over the world people are learning things that 30 years ago money or geography meant they hadn't a hope in hell of reaching.
And Her Majesty's Government thinks people shouldn't think in case they upset nutters who live in some sort of time-space bubble cut off from the world. What sort of message do you think you send to kids in Pakistan or Dubai who would actually quite like to wave the religion of the mad bye-bye? But then of course it is remarkably unclear to me in what bubble HMG resides; it certainly doesn't reside in modern England.'I look for truth and find that I get damned.' I could say that, yes, except it's insane. What is this fucking crap? This is not C1st Gallilee, a Jewish colony of the Roman Empire. It is England in the C21st. Of course I look for truth, it's a very commonplace preoccupation of sentient life. People do not normally rise from the dead. Perhaps you have noticed this simple fact? Of course I think the Creation is crap. It's only 158 years since On the Origin of Species, and barely less since the birth of genetics, Mendel ironically an Augustinian monk. On the Origin of Species proved unexpectedly popular, with the entire stock of 1,250 copies oversubscribed when it went on sale to booksellers on 22 November 1859.
The link with human origins was not initially explicit but rapidly became so, and no, May, Javid, Hammond and all the rest of you freaks, Darwin was not surrounded by mobs with firebrands, Huxley was not prosecuted for disparaging religious doctrine. Bishops were once capable of communicating with educated life in terms more elevated than 'you don't believe what we say so you're evil'.
So you rip, tear, rend, so you unleash you bottomless malice on my body and wreck my life, but you do not change a single fucking thing about the real world around us.
Beyond appalling, beyond horrifying, beyond obscene. The capital offence of living in the real world.
Fictionalized possibilities:
1989 found Dezzi in Moscow, strap-hanging on the Metro alongside Red Army colonels. Is she then a diplomat, a high-flying executive perhaps, even a spy? Nyet. She was but a humble worker in medical research, for perestroika had enabled joint projects between the Soviet Academy of This and the Royal College of That. Our comrades had completed database forms on their patients and Dezzi was there to go through the forms with them and see that they had been adequately completed. She was also hungry because most of the food was inedible. But she saw the sights and even visited the homes of the Russian doctors and absolutely no-one sidled up to her and asked her to take home microfilm cunningly concealed within a tampon. It wasn’t like that any more, if it ever had been. This is not that kind of story. It’s the home-team who are after her. That a deranged cabal is trying to incapacitate you because you're a poetic little creature full of deep beautiful thoughts about mental growth and ultimate reality is not an idea that occurs readily to a girl in Thatcher's Britain. They have grasped who she is, which is more than she has. Try hereditary leader of the Labour Party. You will riposte that the Labour Party does not have hereditary leaders. Detail, detail. De tail only appears later when at the 35th minute of the final hour the Daughters of the Labour Meritocracy turn into scarlet werewolves. It is a thick, bushy one and Dezzi will be very proud of it. For the moment she considers herself one of Nature's Wombles. Taking second and then third, fourth and fifth looks at the things that she finds is getting her into a great deal of trouble.
You might riposte that there is already a hereditary leader of the Labour Party. This town ain’t big enough for two of them? It’s a possibility. Certainly New Labour was to treat her as a non-person. But she will understand! Her father had been 50 when she was born and 11 when the Winter Palace was stormed and the believers waited for the revolution to cover the earth; her uncle, a Communist journalist who had fought in the Spanish Civil War, had died in Thatcher’s Britain not quite believing the Berlin Wall had fallen. For the moment, however, she doesn’t know what she knows. It is only later when the wolfcub sinks her teeth into the fascist Left, the prissy Left, the jackboot Left, who would have you believe that no-one int Labour Party ever said a harsh word, no-one argued, no-one or everyone was stubborn, independent, bloody-minded, critical or offensive, the fake Left, some called them, the pseudo-Left bereft of principle, that it began to matter. Good Communists fight, especially when their computers are repeatedly hacked from Beijing, but that was still far in the future. She had other fatal flaws. Student of Voltaire, child of Woodstock, she was incapable of accepting the docilization implant necessary to an untroubled life in Bleagh’s ‘progressive, modern’ Britain.
The next time duty dragged her to Moscow, her luggage consisted mainly of food. There are places where Bath Olivers matter.
…
“The comrade Colonel is to be congratulated.” The voice was old, dry, faintly amused. Really, what possible difficulty could be presented by a hippy? Perestroika had enabled joint projects between the Soviet Academy of This and the Royal College of That, and so Dezzi, a humble worker in medical research, had applied for entry to the People's Paradise. A clerk in the Embassy of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics had fed her details into the computer, a matter of course, a routine check, and stared for 20 minutes at the results, before presenting them to her boss. There are places where it really counts to have an uncle who had been in the International Brigades. One of our oldest Marxist families, you know, a radical heritage stretching back to Peterloo.
“Can we use her?”
“I doubt it.”
“They say she is dangerous.”
The laughter was open.

The picture of a young woman in an Indian print maxi skirt and a boob-tube lay on the table before them.
“It is a question of what she knows.”
“There is no interest in politics.”
“There is a commitment to reason.”
“Is Marxism not a rationalist creed?”
The younger man blushed.
“She is in a sensitive position.”
“I really do not think we need concern ourselves, comrade.”
“I shall inform London.”
It's probably simplest for the moment to say Dezzi's problems started from there, it has dramatic value, it causes the ears to prick up, though we could get all mushy and talk about the bad fairy present at her birth, A number of more mundane things turned out to be problems also, being a graduate of a former women's college of the University of London perhaps foremost.

Sleep sound, little Jewish boy. At least someone remembers, though that may not be much consolation. But you, little Ivan, no-one remembers, while prating canting obscenities – Soviet-style communism we call it. Comrade Lenin didn’t call it that. Comrade Lenin called it socialism. You remember, little Ivan. The relentless struggle against anti-socialist propaganda and counter-revolutionary forces. Didn’t it comfort you to know you had to die. And you, Chang. Most Favoured Nation, sorry Favored. Doesn’t that make it worthwhile. You’re still an inconvenience, children, in the way of the great forward march of the people. You don’t lobby. You don’t march. Why don’t you cry out! Demand your rights, yes, that’s the way. Demand inclusion. After all the Labour Party is all for giving voices to the socially excluded. Just tell Mr Mandelson your story and legislation will instantly be enacted. Selective memory, it’s called. Run away and play, children. If you ask nicely, Death will give you skipping-ropes and maybe even shiny new bicycles from the capitalists. Run away and play, because no-one wants to know.
USSR 62 million murdered

Khmer Rouge 2 million murdered
Little Ho 1.5 million murdered
Polska 1.5 million murdered
Tito 1 million murdered

Is it is bird, is it a ‘plane, TV man’s fantasy, creature of Beijing, tool of the Vatican or just a load of blinkin’ idiots? What is ‘New Labour’?
Democracy is a negative value-judgement on power. Power is suspect. Power must be made accountable, subject to checks and balances. Fact, reason, argument, all verbal skills, must be the determinants. We the people are not done to, the passive recipients of what our masters dole out: we control what is done to us, because we the people are the sole source of power in a democracy. We give them power to do what we want. They have no power over us to ‘transform’ us into anything we do not want to be, they are not set on high to dictate to us, mould us, impose a society based on lies. We are not here to be moulded into what they think we should be.
Ah yes, the unmatched track-record in delivery of the Soviet Union of a socially conscious policy of population control. Whaddya mean, you don’t wanna be moulded!
It is to be regretted that a portion of our community should be practically in slavery, but to propose to solve the problem by enslaving the entire community is childish…I confess that many of the socialistic views that I have come across seem to me to be tainted with ideas of authority, if not of actual compulsion.
Oscar Wilde, 'The Soul of Man under Socialism', 1891
Poets are generally more on the ball than other folk.
Art is Individualism and Individualism is a disturbing and disintegrating force. Therein lies its immense value. For what it seeks to disturb is monotony of type, slavery of custom, tyranny of habit, and the reduction of man to the level of a machine.
Ibid
The philosophy of the anarchists is bourgeois philosophy turned inside out. Their individualistic theories and their individualistic ideal are the very opposite of socialism
Lenin: Socialism and anarchism, 1905
I am not aware that any other Socialist work, not even our Communist Manifesto of 1848, or Marx's Capital, has been so often translated. In Germany, it has had four editions of about 20,000 copies in all.
Engels: Introduction to Socialism: Utopian and Scientific
They still call themselves a democratic socialist party. The Kremlin’s parting-shot was microchips in the brain? Labour: a party in mass denial. They think – if they think, they think – socialism is an extra 1p in the pound on taxes? And what did USSR stand for? Do I believe that of people who read PPE?
If we were to regard the Soviet of Workers' Deputies as a workers' parliament or as an organ of proletarian self-government, then of course it would have been wrong to reject the application of the anarchists…..We regard the decision of the Executive Committee as absolutely correct and in no way contradicting the functions, the character and the composition of this body. The Soviet of Workers' Deputies is not a labour parliament and not an organ of proletarian self-government, nor an organ of self-government at all, but a fighting organisation for the achievement of definite aims.
Lenin: Socialism and anarchism, 1905
Socialism, their comfort-blanket and their badge of virtue. Those of us who are not candidates for the funny farm have moved on. There are people who continue proudly to call themselves Nazis, only most people consider them not candidates for high office but candidates for the firing-squad. And a mind-set in which not being a socialist brands you as Thatcher’s daughter, if not Hitler’s niece. But then what today is a socialist?
“But Grandad, surely the Left in the western democracies must have been completely devastated, wrecked, when it all came out.”
“The mainstream Left took almost no notice.” Grandad paused. “It would have been more comprehensible if the Kremlin had actually placed microchips in their brains. They were socialists and socialists are good people who care for other people, want to help them. Know what‘s best for them. God help them if they disagree with Nanny. And then there was the self-satisfied certainty they were Anglo-Saxons (like Hitler) and so incapable of – excess, a purely delicious racism of course coming from the fascist anti-racist lobby. It was an incredible performance, Nazis reviled, Islamists reviled but on the doctrine that killed 100 million silence and unswerving faith. Did the Labour Party tear itself apart not. At least not over the trivia of 100 million corpses. Did the Labour Party analyse socialism not. The Labour Party continued to call itself a democratic socialist party, even under the so-called reformers, without troubling to defend or explain precisely what it meant by socialism, although that became all too apparent as the surveillance State, the database State was born. ’As socialists,’ they would say, ’we’. Quite preposterous. Though everyone called the fascist party the British Nazi Party, it would not have dared to call itself that. Of course you must understand definitions have changed. Today’s socialists haven’t a statist thought in their heads. Finally the exhortations to remember the Holocaust made it an issue. The Net achieved that. A costly publicity job it would have been in the old days, establishing Gulag Remembrance Day, but emails flitted across Europe in seconds.”
“What was life like before the Net?”
“Hard to remember, dear boy. How did we survive! One posted letters. Hell’s own job to find out anything. Do you know what a card-index is?”
“No.”
“Hmm. See that chest over there. Imagine dozens of them. Except each drawer is split into three drawers, each the width of about a postcard. On each postcard is laboriously handwritten what we should now call keywords or search terms. The cards are filed alphabetically. Suppose you wish to pursue this subject. You would find a necessarily small list of references for Gulag Remembrance Day, those books possessed by the library you were consulting. You would then have to consult the plan of the library to find out where the books were located.”
“That’s impossible! It’d take years!”
“Strangely, research did not begin with the World Wide Web.”
“Miss Sanders says the Left finally split.”
Grandad laughed.
“How could something so divided – but yes, you could say that finally it split. Eventually the Left divested itself of the millstone round its neck one might best call neo-Stalinism, the desperate obsession with controlling people, the bumptiousness of the presumption, the pathetic faith in the power of the State to create paradise, the lead taken by the sons and daughters of the Hard Left, scandalized, looking for new ways to be Left in a new world. The Real Left contained many Marxists for Marxism freed from the dead hand of the Kremlin had evolved beyond all recognition – or at any rate all recognition by the Stasi (the East German secret police). There had always been entirely civilized, entirely libertarian voices in British Marxism, in the British Left, but by the 80s and 90s these had become swamped by the pseudo-Left, so much so that the Left became identified solely with the neo-Stalinists. The farce that was ’New Labour’ merely married the free market to neo-Stalinism. Money would be free, but no-one else would. Naturally there was revolt! By about 2010 it was clear that the intelligent, the caring, the ones who thought humans and human liberty mattered, liberation meant liberation not a change of slave-owner, had put clear red water between themselves and the fascist Left, the pseudo-Left. There was plenty in the Marxist tradition to build on, not least a certain intellectual rigour compared to the sog of the pseudo-Left. The critical point of course is that the end-game of Marx’s ramblings is that the State withers away. It was a frightfully good place at which to start. Do you really need to drown a nation in blood before it may become non-statist? Perhaps things weren’t quite as complicated as Comrade Lenin had deemed them. Within the Real Left there was of course the capitalist/anti-capitalist divide but capitalism is as capable of tyranny as communism and the Marxists, being somewhat experienced in opposing capitalism, formed a vital brake.
“Certain basics began dimly to be perceived. Capitalism is a function of liberty. When people are free, one of the things they are free to do is make money. How they behave is not a function of capitalism, a corrupt statist regime as ready to exploit, wreck and enslave as a corrupt corporation. The evils wrought by the excesses of capitalism are human evils, are the consequence of power. Money gives power but power meagre in comparison to that of an all-powerful State and evil humans will be evil under any system lacking the freedom to contain them. The problem is not capitalism or communism. The problem is power. That said, globalization was a major issue. While few now felt that Empire was responsible for poor countries remaining poor, there was growing recognition that multi-nationals were culpable in maintaining unwholesome regimes and stripping resources – colonialism by another name. Now that the whole Cold War thing was finally laid to rest – and you must remember old mind-sets take a long time to die – and so the whole business of buying friends and propping up bulwarks against the Soviet threat or of course any other threat – or since other threats continued to exist, now there was no blurring of the issues, since the Real Left loathed China and the Islamist world equally – it could be pointed out to international business that in a free market economy there was no compulsion to buy their products and corporations that were uncivilized could lose western markets. At first this was taken as a feeble echo of fringe politics – is Multiconglomerates Associated really going to care if a few drop-outs do not buy its beans – but the old mind-set of Multiconglomerates Associated thought it still controlled information, exposure limited to a few fringe magazines. By now some 80% of the country was wired, those unfortunates still fallen by the wayside were not heavy purchasers in the consumer society and of course the UK‘s First Amendment had been enacted, so the law no longer protected the powerful. NotTheBeeb was born. As you know, NotTheBeeb is now one of the major ISPs. Instead of trying to provide everything, NotTheBeeb concentrated on providing a flawless dial-up and broadband service and a home page at the cutting-edge of satire. Then as now you logged into NotTheBeeb because it was so damned funny, made a joke of every exposé. And now the latest from the sweat-shops of East Mahdroki. Every advertising campaign was matched on the Web by the conditions of manufacture, the effect on the environment of the country from which the raw materials came, the human rights record of the government of that country, and these facts of the matter were duplicated in thousands, millions of emails. Consumer power began to be telling, together with shame. What this was of course was the high-tech version of the C19th campaigns to abolish slavery and improve conditions in the mills and the mines.
“The Real Left became the only serious contender on the Left for government. Obviously both Labour and the Liberal Democrats were infiltrated. Otherwise intelligent people proved incapable – the microchip effect again – of distinguishing between equality and equal rights. It had been clear for years that some pipsqueak had only to mewl about offence and the entire apparatus of the fascist Left would grind into motion to silence the offender. Faced with the collapse of the pseudo-Left and subsequent total indifference of those in power to whether British law accommodated them, the Islamists departed and all the Muslims who wanted to be British heaved a sigh of relief. Of course the paper tiger of Islamophobia went with them. The world had moved on and the skeletal old men in power hadn’t noticed. Perhaps ’colonial guilt’ was real to them but the new generations of the white British had none and the new generations of the black and brown British were either British-born or arrived from independent countries four or five generations past Empire. Members of ethnic minorities who wanted to get on with being British were a decisive element in putting the Real Left together as a potential party of government for they had been becoming more and more furious at having no-one to vote for, with the Tories frankly supine in the face of fascists who were white and the pseudo-Left parties frankly supine in the face of fascists who were white, black or brown.”
So far this is a flight of fancy. A fundamental tenet of the Labour Movement, I understand, implicit obedience to a corrupt and criminal employer. Subservience to a piece of shit is just so Soviet, darlings.
Behind you, Mr Bleagh, crowd the dead. The Panopticon State, is it, Mr Bleagh, and the dictatorship of shit, some of whom are members of the proletariat.
Ho-Ho-Ho Chi Minh! Such a sweet little guy, huh, kind of like a monk.
Ho-Ho-Ho Chi Minh! Yanks out of Viet-nam! So-li-da-ri-ty till the fi-nal vic-to-ry! We don’t like Final Solutions in this country, Mr Bleagh.
In 1966 began China’s Cultural Revolution. Both the Soviet Union and China supported North Vietnam, a regime that had already amply demonstrated its addiction to slaughter. If education is not so depraved that we cannot see 1966 was two years before 1968, then we shall see on whose side were our urgent little student revolutionaries. The Labour and Trade Union Review is revealing about student rebels in proper Labour politics. Of course the L&TUR was Old Labour and so as irrelevant as anything else pre-dating the Great Helmsman’s seizing of the wheel.
There was in 1978 in Cuba a Soviet-sponsored World Youth Festival attended by among others Charles Clarke, Peter Mandelson, Paul Boateng and Trevor Phillips. At best, mused Dez, they think they’ve moved to the centre. Clearly they have no more idea than they have of flying of meditation, contemplating absolute reality, drooping around in kaftans or other harmless activities of the rest of their generation, who have a new explanation and are beyond all command.
The minstrel-girl to the war is gone! In the ranks of death you’ll find her. Her grandfather’s sword she has girded on and her wild harp slung behind her. It had been a game of ‘let’s pretend’ and she hadn’t like the rules. Once upon a time there were a bunch of student radicals, moths hypnotized by the flame. They grew out of it of course, became respectable citizens; perhaps their wings were singed, perhaps they saw too many other little moths flutter lifeless to the ground around them. Let’s pretend it’s impossible that one of them decided to be the flame.

OK, which one of them is it?
Recent developments have shown how New Labour's values have developed in a way that is inimical to traditional liberties. John Mortimer, barrister, playwright and lifelong Labour supporter, claims he has witnessed over his lifetime a slow improvement in the humanity of the law until the advent of the present Labour government, which "seems to have been born without a single libertarian instinct".
It had an article of faith that Labour had the moral high ground. Sin, whether snatching bread from the mouths of starving children or living debauched and immoral lives, was the prerogative of the bloated capitalist. The ragged trouser philanthropists bring out battered fiddles and a mournful wail fills the air: 'She was po-or-or but sheee was honest, victim of a rich man's gi-i-ime…' The Weekend Book instructs us to sing 'with moral significance'. 'See him in the House of Commons/Passing laws to put down crime/While the girl as he has ruined/Slinks away to hide her shame….' The rhyme is evident to Londoners. Dezzi's problem was that she was not ruined, had no shame and, large though her vocabulary was, slinking away didn't figure in it.
Cut to David Attenborough voice-over, ebullient with delight at the curiosities of nature. And here we have yet again an example of a parallel universe, The Hospital in its bubble, life sustained by the pink froth around it, thinking itself self-sustaining. Those of you who saw my last series will remember the remarkable events surrounding UDI when The Hospital cut loose from the fabric of the nation. Looking at it under the microscope, you can see the tiny amphibians that populate it. No out-dated notions of accountability hamper them here, where staff are warned that contacting their MPs may be a disciplinary offence. Contact with the Press is of course similarly frowned upon. Here is the final proof that dinosaurs did not in fact die out, merely mutated. In these tiny amphibians we have the direct descendants of tyrannosaurus stalinus.
Secrecy.exe and Paranoia.exe were key files throughout the Program. So long as open communication is forbidden, different versions of events may be told to different people. Risk to the Program lay in the possibility of crash, were informed persons to bombard the controllers with unpleasant and offensive questions, outsiders who could not be silenced. For the awkward squad, Punish.exe usually sufficed. People could be cowed. They could learn it was unwise to argue. The controllers were unaccountable. There was no requirement to answer questions. Nothing must interfere with the Program.
Oh they are the men who arrange the blocks that descend on all from up above. They are the men who arranged the blocks in Blair’s collective regime of peace and love.
Also far from my best – but it’ll do:
They are the men who arrange the blocks that descend upon them from up above.
They are all rooting for the Pope’s collective regime of peace and love.
Women are beaten, if we disobey.
Do not think they’ll hear a word we say.
Fuck democracy and freedom too.
Now we’re all told what to do,
What we may think and read and write and say:
The only crime is to disobey.
Fact doesn’t matter, reason too,
Now we’re all told what to do.
Do not babble of democracy
Just accept criminal authority.
Be a good slave and carefully hark
Cowards who crawl around in the dark
Cowards who crawl
With no balls at all
In our collective regime of peace and love
Burn the witch at the stake!
How much money we shall make!
They lie, manipulate, they pull all strings.
No-one ever objects to anything
Any sick shit will do,
So long as the slaves alll crawl to you.
They will always dismiss fact
Faced with an obvious maniac,
You have offended his pervert brain.
Let’s not bother that he’s insane.
We are ruled from on high,
No argument, or else you die.
We are ruled by psychopaths
Crippling women just for laughs
Oh how they need control
Over each and every prole
Impossible such a one
Accountable to anyone
They know best, they are the law
Madness drips from every pore
Happy mindless sick fuck slaves
They love to crawl oh how they crave
A smile from Master.
Makes the cum come so much faster.
Dirty filthy coward scum
Oh how they love to come
O Master, how may we please
They all live on their knees
They hate freedom, anything clean
You got it, they are obscene.
Don’t bother to think anybody
Will uphold democracy.
They are the men who invented the blocks that descend upon us from up above.
They are the men who invented the blocks, a fake regime of peace and love.
Oh how happy we shall be
Now we can’t condemn Saudi
Oh how happy we shall be
Now we obey the Papacy.
These are the men who invented the blocks, a god who hates humanity
These are the men who imagined the will of a psychotic deity
Oh how God hates people free
Then they mock the Holy See.
God hates sex, God hates love, God hates thinking too.
God has told them we’re their pets in zoo.
Feed us! Clothe us! We’re just their property!
God has stated irrevocably
We may not think independently
They are the men who re-invented the blocks that were shattered previously.
They are the men whose sole will is to destroy democracy.
Anything upright, open, reasoned, anything decent, moral, free
They will plot its overthrow in the coward’s secrecy.
These are the men who hand them the keys to lock up and murder liberty
These are the men who fall at their feet, sell England to slavery
The defence of the realm
With them at the helm
Is a total mockery
These are the men, some call them MPs, who keep constituting HMG
The Queen is dead, a mere figurehead, while we are ruled by the Papacy.
Mock you incessantly. Crawl to you never.
Because I live in the fucking real world.
Consequently it is an entirely rational conclusion that you are all either completely raving mad or completely evil.
