Shall we just have all this again?
CHAPTER THREE
MAN'S RESPONSE TO GOD
142 By his Revelation, "the invisible God, from the fullness of his love, addresses men as his friends, and moves among them, in order to invite and receive them into his own company."1 The adequate response to this invitation is faith.
143 By faith, man completely submits his intellect and his will to God.2 With his whole being man gives his assent to God the revealer. Sacred Scripture calls this human response to God, the author of revelation, "the obedience of faith".3
I. The Obedience of Faith
144 To obey (from the Latin ob-audire, to "hear or listen to") in faith is to submit freely to the word that has been heard, because its truth is guaranteed by God, who is Truth itself. Abraham is the model of such obedience offered us by Sacred Scripture. the Virgin Mary is its most perfect embodiment.
Catechism
"The Magisterium of the Church
85 "The task of giving an authentic interpretation of the Word of God, whether in its written form or in the form of Tradition, has been entrusted to the living teaching office of the Church alone. Its authority in this matter is exercised in the name of Jesus Christ."47 This means that the task of interpretation has been entrusted to the bishops in communion with the successor of Peter, the Bishop of Rome.
86 "Yet this Magisterium is not superior to the Word of God, but is its servant. It teaches only what has been handed on to it. At the divine command and with the help of the Holy Spirit, it listens to this devotedly, guards it with dedication and expounds it faithfully. All that it proposes for belief as being divinely revealed is drawn from this single deposit of faith."48
87 Mindful of Christ's words to his apostles: "He who hears you, hears me",49 the faithful receive with docility the teachings and directives that their pastors give them in different forms.
100 The task of interpreting the Word of God authentically has been entrusted solely to the Magisterium of the Church, that is, to the Pope and to the bishops in communion with him
Catechism of the Catholic Church
Wounds to unity
817 In fact, "in this one and only Church of God from its very beginnings there arose certain rifts, which the Apostle strongly censures as damnable. But in subsequent centuries much more serious dissensions appeared and large communities became separated from full communion with the Catholic Church - for which, often enough, men of both sides were to blame."269 The ruptures that wound the unity of Christ's Body - here we must distinguish heresy, apostasy, and schism270 - do not occur without human sin:
Where there are sins, there are also divisions, schisms, heresies, and disputes. Where there is virtue, however, there also are harmony and unity, from which arise the one heart and one soul of all believers.271
What is it, Blair? Come on, what is it? Rees-Mogg, Duncan Smith, Fitzalan-Howard, come on, come on, what is it? It’s a blueprint for fascism. It is everything at which the free world howled in outrage when represented by Hitler, Stalin, the cadres of North Korea. Where the fuck do you dirty apes think the Nazis got it from? This is an insolently fascist, insolently sexist, insolently homophobic institution which is raving mad because it believes it has Truth. It has no place whatever in modern England.
Fascism, insolent evident fascism right down to the hive mind called The Good. If you are a secular fascist, you are a pariah. If you are a religious fascist, it is offence to offend you and an offence to discriminate against you. Is there any politician so completely stupid that he or she does not think people have noticed that, that there is one law for the ‘devout’ and one for the rest of us, that we’re all supposed to be outraged not at fascism, not at evil, but at the fascist and evil being offended.
‘It has been revealed to us.’ What do these fucked-up baboons think we all are, do they really believe we’re all going to submit to the ravings of peasants and savages.
They do and all over Europe they have the political classes believing it too – or pretending to as a weapon against freedom. Rational civilized people are to be condemned, prosecuted for being contemptuous of sickness, drivel, madness.
Having grossly mentally abused children, having Severed them, made them emotionally and intellectually helpless, unable to deal with their thoughts and feelings, the religious then whine how evil is this freedom, see what distress it causes.
2089 Incredulity is the neglect of revealed truth or the willful refusal to assent to it. "Heresy is the obstinate post-baptismal denial of some truth which must be believed with divine and catholic faith, or it is likewise an obstinate doubt concerning the same; apostasy is the total repudiation of the Christian faith; schism is the refusal of submission to the Roman Pontiff or of communion with the members of the Church subject to him."11
Hope
2090 When God reveals Himself and calls him, man cannot fully respond to the divine love by his own powers. He must hope that God will give him the capacity to love Him in return and to act in conformity with the commandments of charity. Hope is the confident expectation of divine blessing and the beatific vision of God; it is also the fear of offending God's love and of incurring punishment.
2091The first commandment is also concerned with sins against hope, namely, despair and presumption:
By despair, man ceases to hope for his personal salvation from God, for help in attaining it or for the forgiveness of his sins. Despair is contrary to God's goodness, to his justice - for the Lord is faithful to his promises - and to his mercy.
2092 There are two kinds of presumption. Either man presumes upon his own capacities, (hoping to be able to save himself without help from on high), or he presumes upon God's almighty power or his mercy (hoping to obtain his forgiveness without conversion and glory without merit).
The Catechism of the Catholic Church
The limitations of reason within any given frame of reference are equally apparent. Certainly reason may be utilized to demonsrate the workings of the Trinity or how the withering away of the state follows from the dictatorship of the proletariat, but the bars of the cage cannot be questioned. It is of course explicit in the concept of revelation that there is that which reason may not touch.
So far as Search is infallible, the words ‘physics’ and ‘biology’ do not appear anywhere in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, ‘evolution’ only once and in a general not a scientific sense (‘the evolution of the liturgy’).
It does, however, say this:
The question about the origins of the world and of man has been the object of many scientific studies which have splendidly enriched our knowledge of the age and dimensions of the cosmos, the development of life-forms and the appearance of man. These discoveries invite us to even greater admiration for the greatness of the Creator, prompting us to give him thanks for all his works and for the understanding and wisdom he gives to scholars and researchers. With Solomon they can say: "It is he who gave me unerring knowledge of what exists, to know the structure of the world and the activity of the elements. . . for wisdom, the fashioner of all things, taught me."121
284 The great interest accorded to these studies is strongly stimulated by a question of another order, which goes beyond the proper domain of the natural sciences. It is not only a question of knowing when and how the universe arose physically, or when man appeared, but rather of discovering the meaning of such an origin: is the universe governed by chance, blind fate, anonymous necessity, or by a transcendent, intelligent and good Being called "God"? And if the world does come from God's wisdom and goodness, why is there evil? Where does it come from? Who is responsible for it? Is there any liberation from it?
285 Since the beginning the Christian faith has been challenged by responses to the question of origins that differ from its own. Ancient religions and cultures produced many myths concerning origins. Some philosophers have said that everything is God, that the world is God, or that the development of the world is the development of God (Pantheism). Others have said that the world is a necessary emanation arising from God and returning to him. Still others have affirmed the existence of two eternal principles, Good and Evil, Light and Darkness, locked, in permanent conflict (Dualism, Manichaeism). According to some of these conceptions, the world (at least the physical world) is evil, the product of a fall, and is thus to be rejected or left behind (Gnosticism). Some admit that the world was made by God, but as by a watch-maker who, once he has made a watch, abandons it to itself (Deism). Finally, others reject any transcendent origin for the world, but see it as merely the interplay of matter that has always existed (Materialism). All these attempts bear witness to the permanence and universality of the question of origins. This inquiry is distinctively human.
286 Human intelligence is surely already capable of finding a response to the question of origins. The existence of God the Creator can be known with certainty through his works, by the light of human reason,122 even if this knowledge is often obscured and disfigured by error. This is why faith comes to confirm and enlighten reason in the correct understanding of this truth: "By faith we understand that the world was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was made out of things which do not appear."123
The bars of the mental cage are clearly delineated. Naturally they uphold their own beliefs, as would believers in any closed system, Marxist or Muslim. The problem is the chasm between them and those of us with open minds who might say, “Indeed my knowledge of the age and dimensions of the cosmos has been most splendidly enriched but I see no reason why your version of the frame of reference in which these things exist should be more real, more true, morally sounder, or in any other way superior.” Like elements in Islam, which whatever its problems perhaps is fortunate in not having a similar central authority, they simply do not understand the open society and the free market in ideas, how inadequate it is to say one must have faith, how really rather sad it is to say that absence of faith is the greatest of evils, and so do not understand human liberty.
We want to talk about love and death and reality and illusion, time and timelessness, fear and love, self and other, about life the universe and everything in the terms these things actually exist, the terms of physics and biology, not the terms set by desert tribesmen, about the principles that inform the human condition, of course we want to talk about the human condition, thinking life always has and always will, and we'll take ideas from anywhere on the planet, and they want to talk about how women priests offend God. God wants your meat killed in a certain way, is obsessed with what you wear and even more obsessed with what you do in bed and with whom, and what we really need to do is just believe in them.
Answers on a postcard, please, where did all of it come from?
It's not as though there was anything secret about the head-set with which I deal. Where do we think the Nazis got it all from? Do we think? I have of course long concluded we do not. What this clearly states is that no human power is to be heeded if it seeks to contradict divine ordinance. I am dealing with trolls, orcs, foul rotting corpses to which my body and my life are considered subject by universal agreement. That's quite revealing, you know.
From the Catholic Encyclopaedia, 1912
Obedience (Lat. obêdire, "to hearken to", hence "to obey") is the complying with a command or precept. It is here regarded not as a transitory and isolated act but rather as a virtue or principle of righteous conduct. It is then said to be the moral habit by which one carries out the order of his superior with the precise intent of fulfilling the injunction. St. Thomas Aquinas considers the obligation of obedience as an obvious consequence of the subordination established in the world by natural and positive law. The idea that subjection of any sort of one man to another is incompatible with human freedom -- a notion that had vogue in the religious and political teachings of the post-Reformation period -- he refutes by showing that it is at variance with the constituted nature of things, and the positive prescriptions of the Almighty God. It is worthy of note that whilst it is possible to discern a general aspect of obedience in some acts of all the virtues, in so far as obedience stands for the execution of anything that is of precept, it is contemplated in this article as a definitely special virtue. The element that differentiates it adequately from other good habits is found in the last part of the definition already given. Stress is put upon the fact that one not only does what is actually enjoined, but does it with a mind to formally fall in with the will of the commander. It is in other words the homage rendered to authority which ranks it as a distinct virtue. Among the virtues obedience holds an exalted place but not the highest. The distinction belongs to the virtues of faith, hope and charity which unite us immediately with Almighty God. Amongst the moral virtues obedience enjoys a primacy of honour. The reason is that the greater or lesser excellence of a moral virtue is determined by the greater or lesser value of the object which it qualifies one to put aside in order to give oneself to God. Now amongst our various possessions, whether goods of the body or goods of the soul, it is clear that the human will is the most intimately personal and most cherished of all. So it happens that obedience, which makes a man yield up the most dearly prized stronghold of the individual soul in order to do the good pleasure of his Creator, is accounted the greatest of the moral virtues. As to whom we are to obey, there can be no doubt that first we are bound to offer an unreserved service to Almighty God in all His commands. No real difficulty against this truth can be gathered from putting in juxtaposition the unchangeableness of the natural law and an order, such as that given to Abraham to slay his son Isaac. The conclusive answer is that the absolute sovereignty of God over life and death made it right in that particular instance to undertake the killing of an innocent human being at His direction. On the other hand the obligation to obedience to superiors under God admits of limitations. We are not bound to obey a superior in a matter which does not fall within the limits of his preceptive power. Thus for instance parents although entitled beyond question of the submission of their children until they become of age, have no right to command them to marry. Neither can a superior claim our obedience in contravention to the dispositions of higher authority. Hence, notably, we cannot heed the behests of any human power no matter how venerable or undisputed as against the ordinances of God. All authority to which we bow has its source in Him and cannot be validly used against Him. It is the recognition of the authority of God vicariously exercised through a human agent that confers upon the act of obedience its special merit. No hard and fast rule can be set down for determining the degree of guilt of the sin of disobedience. Regarded formally as a deliberate scorning of the authority itself, it would involve a divorce between the soul and the supernatural principle of charity which is tantamount to a grievous sin. As a matter of fact many other things have to be taken account of, as the greater or lesser advertence in the act, the relatively important or trifling character of the thing imposed, the manner of enjoining, the right of the person who commands. For such reasons the sin will frequently be esteemed venial. http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/11181c.htm
All of it
Who kept anti-semitism alive for 1933 years. If they’d gone around telling people to love one another, it would have long petered out, wouldn’t it.
Do note also the 1956 addendum
May the problem be stated in a nutshell? It may. The Christian churches were in position to - eradicate would be impossible, humans being what they are - but roundly condemn all contempt and hate for other humans based on race, gender, orientation, to tell people to bloody well love their neighbours. It took secular forces to do that. Among them of course were many Christians, including some priests and monks; notably it did not trumpet forth from Rome or Canterbury or whererever other Protestant centres are - Geneva?
This is of course because they did not have a problem with contempt and hate for other humans based on race, gender, orientation.

'The Jewish Question' from La Civilta Cattolica, 1890 Extracts. It is of course not, not, not the case that most modern Catholics are virulently anti-Jewish, just that it is not, not, not the case that most modern Muslims are virulently anti-Jewish. Some priests, monks and nuns and Catholic lay-people risked everything to protect and rescue Jews and died alongside them. However, if you are wise, you do not ignore the virulent and sturdy strand of Jew-hate in Roman Catholicism - and you spit at one of the more purulent scams, which is to blame the camps on the First and Second Amendments, not, ever, nothing to do with us, what are you looking at us for, the preceding 1933 years of Christian Jew-hate.
ANOTHER CHALLENGE TO JEWS AND MASONS The Point is against the Jews. It is against the Masons. It is against Interfaith. The Point maintains that the Catholic Church is against the Jews, against the Masons, and against Interfaith. And, by way of proving its contention, The Point quotes freely from Catholic saints and popes, who are unmistakably against the Jews, against the Masons, and against Interfaith. Occasionally someone objects to this Point procedure. How do we know, snips our critic, that the Church hasn’t modernized her ideas since the time of the saints and popes whom we quote in our favor? Or, at least, how do we know she won’t? Last month, our objector got his answer. It was in the form of a news bulletin from Rome, announcing that Catholics can soon expect to have a new saint; for the cause has been introduced and the first steps successfully completed in the canonization of Giovanni-Maria Mastai-Ferretti, His Holiness, Pope Pius IX. Point Magazine for September 1956, edited Under Fr. Leonard Feeney M.I.C.M. — Saint Benedict Center The Jewish Question in Europe: The Causes, The Effects, The Remedies from La Civilta Cattolica, vol. VII, no. XIV. 1890 (Oct, Nov, Dec)
(English Translation, 1998)
All that is Judaism is comprised of love and hate: the insatiable love of money, auri sacra fames, and the insatiable hatred of Christ. The love serves the hate; and the hatred and the love drive them on to the apogée of that power, which is the Satanic delirium of reprobate Israel.
In Germany, Austria and France, there is a school of thought which advances the most radical solution of liberation from the Jewish plague, but one which does not conform to the Christian spirit; and which is, at present, practically speaking, impossible. Defense Without War After proving with hundreds of facts and documents that, in general, the Hebrews are a plague on Christian society, and a scourge on the Church of Jesus Christ, they hold that the right of making war against them, as a public enemy, has thus been demonstrated. But they do not agree to resort to bloodshed, and rather propose two more restrained solutions: That the Jews return what has been stolen; and that they be banished from the nations. Through the confiscation of their property, and through exile, the great evil done by them in countries that have given them the legal right of equality, would be undone, and they would be punished for their wrongdoing. Who can doubt that such confiscation would be just? The majority of the money possessed by the Jews was gotten by evil methods, accumulated by fraud, usury, and thievery. If no end is imposed on their scandalous accumulation, then in a few more decades, almost all of the fixed and liquid capital of the Christians will fall prey to them. To take the ill-gotten gain from the thieves is most legitimate, if not by particular individuals, then by the nation so robbed. Complications What else? Another aspect is not agreed upon: that the goods accumulated by the Jews would be legitimately seized through the principle of the just war, with expropriation certainly being the lesser of two evils. Since the accumulation of wealth is the most powerful weapon employed by the Jews, and used toward the goal of exterminating religion and of oppressing the people, then, to say the least, in terms of a necessary defense, there is the right to take the money out of their clutches. And another argument flows from that one, namely, that there is a right to compensation for the inestimable material and moral damage done to the Christian peoples. In this is echoed the memorable sentence of the great Peter the Venerable; Serviant populis christianis, etiam invitis ipsis, divitiae Judaeorum(Let the wealth of the Jews, even themselves unwilling, serve Christian people). Although greatly to their vexation, the plenty harvested from the Jews is in the interest of the Christians. That the first part of the remedy would result in a decrease in anti-Semitism, was expressed by the vow: Apply the laws to the Jews, the same Jews who have, with the sanction and approval of Freemasonry, ruled against the Church in Catholic countries. Through a two-pronged decree, let us proclaim the nationalization, with no exceptions, of all of the goods of the Jews. This would have the effect of immediately paying off the national debts. More Complications Now we turn our attention to a critical examination of what has been proposed. We note that such an idea has many examples in history. But, in order to be legitimate, first of all such a confiscation must be decreed by those who, in the various nations, have legally constituted authority; and secondly, that such be carried out according to the norms of Christian justice and charity. Not all of the Jews are thieves, dissemblers, cheats, usurers, Freemasons, cads, and corrupters of customs. Everywhere, one can count among them a certain number who are not complicit in the racketeering and knavery of the others. Should the innocent be included in the punishment of the others? The supporters of the heroic remedy answer that in war, even in the most just and holy wars, great numbers of innocents perish; that without distinction, the Hebrews act in solidarity with each other; that in all of their hearts, they nurture mortal hatred of the Christians; that all, under one guise or another, agree on the Christians’ destruction; that the experience of former centuries has demonstrated this, since the Hebrew has always abused the mercy and charity of Christians, in order to undermine them all over again. And that because of this, and not out of any vendetta, but because of the laws of necessary self-defense, the most ultimate position should be taken: Salus populi, suprema lex esto(The safety (or welfare) of the people shall be (an imperative) the highest law). At present, this idea is only a sketch, its details not filled in, and so we shall leave it for now; although emphasizing that justice and charity ought, always, to be upheld, and win out over the crudity of overly draconian ideas. IV. Defense by Expulsion According to the propagandists of that remedy, confiscation would not be enough; they would also want the public enemy to be exiled. They do not say: Death to the Jews! Rather, they say: Out with the Jews! Live, but far from us. The Jewish Question in Europe: The Causes, The Effects, The Remedies 1934 The influential Jesuit magazine Civilta Cattolica published in Rome notes with regret that the antisemitism of the Nazis "does not stem from the religious convictions nor the Christian conscience... but from the desire to upset the order of religion and society," and added, "we could understand them, or even praise them, if their policy were restricted within acceptable bounds of defense against the Jewish organizations and institutions..." What do they mutter in private, they didn’t expect Hitler to go quite that far.
What at root is the Muslim father who strangles his daughter in accordane with faith. He is Abraham willing to sacrifice Iaac, only ‘God’ does not provide a handy ram in place
He is also of course one who withdraws all love.
What Jesus realized is telling people to love God is a hiding to nothing unless you also tell them to equally love people. In the name of ‘love’ for God they will do anything to people unless you do that. Hence the monotonous and repetitive demand ye love one another.
Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself
I do not strike myself as the first person whose thought tends to the direction that the idea is greater than the dogma - and that love trumps all other commandments. If there is no love, it goes.
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Some part of that is hard to understand? It may often be hard to do, but to understand? Love thy neighbour, thy black neighbour, thy white neighbour, thy brown neighbour, thy gay neighbour, thy female neighbour, thy rich neighbour, thy poor neighbour, even, even...thy evolutionary biologist neighbour. (Dawkins in The God Delusion argues that loving thy neighbour meant loving thy fellow Jew, not what we think it to mean, but I think he's wrong, as below*, and in any case it's what we think it means that has shaped western society.) *Leviticus 19:34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
As thy self. Not more than. Not less than. Skip two thousand years or so and you get to a society of which it is the foundation. I'm not saying we're good at it.
Historically, obviously, notoriously, Christian leaderships have had enormous problems with it and still do, such that it required a couple of revolutions and a secular framework.
Historically, obviously, famously, many Christians have not.
Because of the historical, obvious and notorious, there is an ambiguity over women and gays not shared by the majority of us, an unwillingness to insist we really matter. After all it's in the Bible and the Qu'ran that we don't as much as perfect heterosexual male selves, different rules apply.
There is no reason why anyone should have to accept the totality of these books because in their time they were accepted as the Word of God and there has been an unpleasant insistence that they must be for the whole of time.
Let us suppose that the CofE started (ridiculous thought!) to uphold Christianity and preached that we should love God and our neighbour. This does not entail accepting Jesus as the Son of God, so who is going to have a problem with it? Atheists would find the first part kooky, perhaps intellectually objectionable, but we can hardly find it morally objectionable because of the second part: what this god they are saying people should believe in wants you to do is love everyone. (Whoops, there I go forgetting the holy have a monopoly on 'morally objectionable').
Who is going to have major, major problems with loving all neighbours as their selves is a little obvious.
Thus the clergy move the goal-posts. What is wrong with us and there has to be something wrong with us since we do not all flock each Sunday to fill the pews and there cannot be anything wrong with them, is not that we do not love but we do not have faith.
There is deliberate obfuscation between faith and morality or in other words faith and love, the nasty nonsense that one is in some way morally defective if one does not believe in God. Believe me, o men of God, it does not go down well with harmless necessary atheists who do their best to treat everyone well to have you chaps sneering that we have no proper foundation for moral behaviour and are inferior to those who behave like skunks.
Just what was Cantuar getting at in his objection to the notion of belief as a matter of choice?
There is a lot of fluff in this arena. Let me try to blow some of it away.
Belief in a deity is morally and indeed intellectually neutral. It says nothing about the nature of the god and so either what it wants you to do or if it actually wants you to do anything and the existence of some form of being or mind called 'God' can't be disproved.
This being so, people have variously thought their god wanted a society underpinned by slavery or a society in which slavery had been abolished.
What I think the Archbishop was evading saying is the view that if your holy book tells you to mistreat other people, then you have to do it, you can't see how you can't do it.
Except millions of other people manage. Except that is the mind-set of the drones of the Chinese Communist Party and the Nazi Party. Befehl' sind Befehl'. This 'faith' he vaunts is thus an excuse for the closure of debate. One mustn't criticize the behaviour of the religious because they have no choice over it. Nasty, isn't it.
THOU SHALT NOT SUFFER A WITCH TO LIVE' (EXODUS 22:18)
Here is a penis. It is frantically wriggling. It got its rights. It is getting all swollen and hard. I believe the correct word is tumescent. The veins are standing out on its - ah, forehead. Really one quite fears for its cardiovascular health. How does a tumescent prick have a coronary? I digress.... It is wrath, this little prick. It is dead wrath. It is (of course) a victim. Its right to burn witches has been removed. It says in the Bible, see. It's a religious duty. You can't go against someone's religious duty. That's discrimination, that's Christophobia - loony feminism - secular fundamentalism. No decent society can stand in the way of someone acting according to his conscience, the commands of his holy book. People who say Dickhead! are reviled. They are insensitive, prejudiced. Deep-seated religious beliefs have to be approached with the utmost sensitivity and respect.
Finished laughing yet? That is how some Muslims and their fellow-travellers go on and the only problem is that the 'Establishment', Church and State alike, does not piss with laughter.
Are we clear? The problem is not a minority of religious loonies. The problem is that their mad tripe is treated with awe and gravity.
Oh indeed, are we clear? Religion in the West has been forced to set its house in order, forced to behave in a civilized fashion. Now baboon-men are using Islam to attempt to regain hegemony
Galatians 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
So they took away the post-its
They tore down the post-its
There were things part of the warp and weft of the fabric of the nation. It had nothing to do with what you believed or didn’t. Not really anything to do with what you did or didn’t. It was just sort of there, a point of reference. I may in a moment be able to say what I’m talking about. Camels and eyes of needles never stopped people being very very rich or made them embarrassed about being very very rich. Motes and beams didn’t prevent boys being sadistically beaten at public schools for minor transgressions – I think I’m thinking of Robert Graves’ Goodbye to All That though I might have confused it with some other autobiography – other such abuses of power or for that matter domestic argument. I just left the top off the toothpaste, you spent the rent on booze and forgot to feed the cat.
There somewhere gently wriggling to the surface and enabling reconciliation or reform – or not. I mean no-one stripped the very very rich of their assets because Jesus said they didn’t have a cat’s chance in hell of going to heaven. Not that the asset stripping wasn’t thought of, but that of course had other roots.
Love puffeth itself not up. The entire Christian world discovered sometimes it has to but so far as day to day life went like little post-its on the wall, not saying anything, not interfering but just there pointing out certain things.
They tore down the post-its. They were no longer common property, but the province of a sect called Christians. But people didn’t see them as religion but as moral teachings. A common language. If someone said, why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest thou not the beam that is in thine own eye, everyone knew it meant, do get down off your high horse and stop being a total wanker.
Part of the fabric of the nation. You can’t expect - ? You trying to tell me West Indian Christians had a problem with the post-its? Hindus? Buddhists?
Gandhi was shrewd enough to tell missionaries, “I like your Christ; I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” When asked why he did not embrace Christianity, Gandhi said it offered nothing he could not get from his own religion, observing, “…to be a good Hindu also meant that I would be a good Christian. There is no need for me to join your creed to be a believer in the beauty of the teachings of Jesus or try to follow His example.”

Muslims? From Wahuddin’s Web
As Jesus and his disciples entered a village, some of the villagers began to harass Jesus, shouting unkind words and harsh accusations.
But Jesus answered them by bowing down and saying prayers for their happiness and well-being.
A disciple said to him: 'You prayed for these men, aren't you filled with anger toward them ?'
Jesus answered: 'I could only spend from what I had in my purse.'

Brakes on shittiness. The only people who are not going to like brakes on shittiness are shits.
Harvey was a prominent sceptic regarding allegations of witchcraft. He was one of the examiners of four women from Lancashire accused of witchcraft in 1634, and as a consequence of his report, all of them were acquitted.
That is the Harvey, William, of circulation of the blood fame. Just think as early as 1634 things were put in the hands of scientists – occasionally.
Or they could consider Ala-al-din abu Al-Hassan Ali ibn Abi-Hazm al-Qarshi al-Dimashqi (Arabic: علاء الدين أبو الحسن عليّ بن أبي حزم القرشي الدمشقي), known as Ibn al-Nafis (Arabic: ابن النفيس), was an Arab physician from Damascus mostly famous for being the first to describe the pulmonary circulation of the blood. He died in 1288, and was thus centuries before Harvey. Or for that matter Mendel, quietly working in the monastery garden figuring out his pea-plants.
But fascist Islam doesn’t do motes and beams, kill, execute, death! Guy wrote a book. Nothing about the repulsive human rights abuses of Islamic nations, leading to the conclusion that the psychos don’t think they are repulsive human rights abuses. Oh right, yawn, sick shits are yelping about Islamophobia again.
And everyone knew certain resonances: cock-crow. What is truth?
When the cock crew
Victim of shit-filled, vicious, legalistic, stupid religious establishments – Jesus, was, yes, Don’t we all just have so bloody much in common with him.
“This society has two pillars, Athens and Nazareth, love and mind, if you prefer not to be parochial. These are universal values, facets of the human animal. Both have been rotted, largely by those charged with upholding them.”
Haven’t they just.
23 Then the whole multitude of them arose and led Him to Pilate. 2 And they began to accuse
Him, saying, “We found this fellow perverting [a]the nation, and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ, a King.”
3 Then Pilate asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?”
He answered him and said, “It is as you say.”
4 So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, “I find no fault in this Man.”
5 But they were the more fierce, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place.”
6 When Pilate heard [b]of Galilee, he asked if the Man were a Galilean. 7 And as soon as he knew that He belonged to Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time. 8 Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad; for he had desired for a long time to see Him, because he had heard many things about Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. 9 Then he questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing. 10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him. 11 Then Herod, with his [c]men of war, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate. 12 That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been at enmity with each other.
13 Then Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people, 14 said to them, “You have brought this Man to me, as one who misleads the people. And indeed, having examined Him in your presence, I have found no fault in this Man concerning those things of which you accuse Him; 15 no, neither did Herod, for [d]I sent you back to him; and indeed nothing deserving of death has been done by Him. 16 I will therefore chastise Him and release Him” 17 (for[e] it was necessary for him to release one to them at the feast).
18 And they all cried out at once, saying, “Away with this Man, and release to us Barabbas”— 19 who had been thrown into prison for a certain rebellion made in the city, and for murder.
20 Pilate, therefore, wishing to release Jesus, again called out to them. 21 But they shouted, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!”
22 Then he said to them the third time, “Why, what evil has He done? I have found no reason for death in Him. I will therefore chastise Him and let Him go.”
23 But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And the voices of these men [f]and of the chief priests prevailed. 24 So Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they requested. 25 And he released [g]to them the one they requested, who for rebellion and murder had been thrown into prison; but he delivered Jesus to their will.
Luke
11 Then Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” Jesus said, “You say so.” 12 But when he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he did not respond. 13 Then Pilate said to him, “Don’t you hear how many charges they are bringing against you?” 14 But he did not answer even one accusation, so that the governor was quite amazed.
15 During the feast the governor was accustomed to release one prisoner to the crowd, whomever they wanted. 16 At that time they had in custody a notorious prisoner named Jesus Barabbas. 17 So after they had assembled, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release for you, Jesus Barabbas or Jesus who is called the Christ?” 18 (For he knew that they had handed him over because of envy.) 19 As he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent a message to him: “Have nothing to do with that innocent man; I have suffered greatly as a result of a dream about him today.” 20 But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus killed. 21 The governor asked them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas!” 22 Pilate said to them, “Then what should I do with Jesus who is called the Christ?” They all said, “Crucify him!” 23 He asked, “Why? What wrong has he done?” But they shouted more insistently, “Crucify him!”
24 When Pilate saw that he could do nothing, but that instead a riot was starting, he took some water, washed his hands before the crowd and said, “I am innocent of this man’s blood. You take care of it yourselves!” 25 In reply all the people said, “Let his blood be on us and on our children!” 26 Then he released Barabbas for them. But after he had Jesus flogged, he handed him over to be crucified. 27 Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the governor’s residence and gathered the whole cohort around him. 28 They stripped him and put a scarlet robe around him, 29 and after braiding a crown of thorns, they put it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand, and kneeling down before him, they mocked him: “Hail, king of the Jews!” 30 They spat on him and took the staff and struck him repeatedly on the head. 31 When they had mocked him, they stripped him of the robe and put his own clothes back on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.
Matthew
15 And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
2 And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto them, Thou sayest it.
3 And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.
4 And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.
5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.
6 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.
7 And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.
8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.
9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.
11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?
13 And they cried out again, Crucify him.
14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.
15 And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.
Mark
20 Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.
21 Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.
22 And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so?
23 Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me?
24 Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.
25 And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.
26 One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?
27 Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.
28 Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.
29 Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man?
30 They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee.
31 Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:
32 That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die.
33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?
34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?
36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
39 But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
40 Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
John
Only John gives us what used to be one of the most famous exchanges in the Western world.
All four gospels however, give us the second most famous name to come out of those exchanges. I do not think the cunt-faced priests of today can claim to be ignorant of moral weakness, of giving in to hysteria and venom - oh and a political agenda.
54. And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire...
66. And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:
67. And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.
68. But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.
69. And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
70. And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean and thy speech agreeth thereto.
71. But he began to curse and swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak. 72. And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the words that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
Mark 14
A Song at Cock-Crow - Rudyard Kipling
1918
“Ille autem iterum negavit”
THE FIRST time that Peter deniéd his Lord
He shrank from the cudgel, the scourge and the cord,
But followed far off to see what they would do,
Till the cock crew—till the cock crew--
After Gethsemane, till the cock crew!
The first time that Peter deniéd his Lord
’Twas only a maid in the palace who heard,
As he sat by the fire and warmed himself through.
Then the cock crew! Then the cock crew!
(“Thou also art one of them.”) Then the cock crew!
The first time that Peter deniéd his Lord
He had neither the Throne, nor the Keys nor the Sword--
A poor silly fisherman, what could he do,
When the cock crew—when the cock crew--
But weep for his wickedness when the cock crew?
. . . . . The next time that Peter deniéd his Lord
He was Fisher of Men, as foretold by the Word,
With the Crown on his brow and the Cross on his shoe,
When the cock crew—when the cock crew--
In Flanders and Picardy when the cock crew!
The next time that Peter deniéd his Lord
’Twas Mary the Mother in Heaven Who heard,
And She grieved for the maidens and wives that they slew
When the cock crew—when the cock crew--
Tirmonde and Aerschott when the cock crew!
The next time that Peter deniéd his Lord
The Babe in the Manger awakened and stirred,
And He stretched out His arms for the playmates He knew--
When the cock crew—when the cock crew--
But the waters had covered them when the cock crew!
The next time that Peter deniéd his Lord
’Twas Earth in her agony waited his word,
But he sat by the fire and naught would he do,
Though the cock crew—though the cock crew--
Over all Christendom, though the cock crew !
The last time that Peter deniéd his Lord,
The Father took from him the Keys and the Sword,
And the Mother and Babe brake his Kingdom in two,
When the cock crew—when the cock crew--
(Because of his wickedness) when the cock crew!
It’s actually about the Pope’s position in WWI but it’ll do for today.
I imagine the last thing that ever occurs to them is that people would actually like them more if they were recognizably Christian.
Well, wasn’t all that just a right bloody waste of make-up.
So there’s probably only this to be said. The first time an Englishwoman is paraded in front of the dribbling lascivious judges of a religious court doubtless dressed in the shapeless coarse wool robe of a penitent and guarded by fuck-faced subhuman gloating monsters like Saunders and Plucinski, always falling over themselves to do Master’s bidding, with a mediaeval whipping-block borrowed from the Museum of London, on some charge such as wearing too few clothes or having had a sexual relationship outside marriage will also be the last time, since the following morning there won’t be a Catholic or Muslim left in England.
I do suggest you cunt-faced Nazi vermin all start noticing which country you’re in. It is of course all Unternehmen Seelowe Mk II. Tick the fucking boxes: fascist, racist, sexist, homophobic, obedience fetish. All the ludicrous and repulsive fuck-ups. Who do you think you are, fuck-ups? You decree, do you, fuck-ups, you dictate, well, aren't you all mad dirty smelly little fuck-ups. Befehl' sind Befehl', hey fuck-ups.
