We alll have to respect arrant drivel, understand that a person some people on non-existent grounds consider holy may not be the subject of a cartoon, take that seriously because an absolutely evil animal they call the Pope sez. Cos it’s relidjionn and ho-o-ly and it is not to be mocked.
fhosyil Perhaps Welby, supposedly an expert on these things, self-appointed of course, might like to tell everyone exactly what is so holy about this repulsive display of hysterical evil, why it should not have been be named for what it was and dismissed out of hand.
All throughout the endless ages
All your Buddhas, Christs and sages

Thus the obscenity being forced on us
No, bitch, holy men do not kill.
The real problem facing so-called revelation is not time but place. The historical Moses is thought to have lived in around 1400 BC. In the 1500 years or so between him and Paul, a multiplicity of world-shaping events and perspectives on being human occurred elsewhere on the planet, the whole of Ancient Greece and with it the birth of democracy, most of Classical Rome, the Upanishads, Confucius, Zoroastrianism, Lao-Tzu, none of which is significant, other than as error or sin or at best feeble gropings for troof. This is first order lunacy: discuss.
Jesus, my son, go down and sort them out will you.
Whoops, no, that didn't turn out right. Ah, but there's this chap Mohammed he'll put it right once and for all.
Mind you, time is a pretty good runner-up.
How can anyone possibly take it seriousy?
The ramblings of ancient Jews about the creation of the world and the bringing of evil into iit by a woman. Ooh, ain’t you gotta take it seriously, Mohammed’s rewriting of the old Testament, ooh, you gotta take iit seriously.
A load of bloody drivel about heaven and helll and More drivel about a Virgin Birth and a Resurrection.
So there was this serious sicko Khomeini, who believed the great head monkey in the sky got very antsy indeed over women wearing make-up and who indeed believed the great head monkey in the sky wished him to counter this by wiping their faces with razor-blades (indeed many aspects of the cute whims of this particular freakoid marked him as someone who should have ended up in the dock before an international court of human rights) and if any freak fuck nutter did that on the streets of London or Birmingham, public outcry, catch the brute; mysteriously this Khomeini loon was not a sick monkey, but ho-o-oly, say-cred and it’s his relidgion and it turned out there were many sick freaks of like mind in indeed London and Birmingham who agreed with this freak nutter who thought a man should be murdered for writing a book which could be regarded as taking the piss out of the completely discredited story of a great head monkey in the sky whose commands have been solemnly recorded by a human or humans.
And nobody took them aside, no-one educated them in the nature of this society, no-one told them no-one else believes in a this psycho loon head monkey in the sky, no-one told them their psychopaths and not wanted.
Specifically and criminally, no-one insisted they digest the history of the society in which they found themselves, founded on the overthrow of religious authority.
Conspicuous by its absence, that one, for 30 years, as conspicuous as anyone troubling to explain to the free world why people who are clearly hostile to it and wish to destroy it must be made welcome. Guess that would take examination of too many bank balances.
Presumably it took Marxists and Christians alike all of five seconds to see they could use this to destroy the free world. Of course virtually the entire political class is paid off, fat round little pink mouths wrapped around the cocks of Saudi princelings and Iranian prelates such that to offend Islam is a heinous offence. A whole range of yammer-monkeys will be alerted who are of course silent on the gross human rights abuses of Muslim nations.
So a minority religion has a belief-system, one of hundred invented by human beings, many thousands. Fine, so they get on with it, like everyone else does. End of story.
98% of the rest is the deliberate evil of politicians and clergy, the deliberate backing of fascism, Muslims get the shit, whether good or bad, but the real evil lies with the archbishops, cardinals, rabbis, all trumpeting the most fundamental corruption of all, that religion is homogenous and of its nature necessarily good and superior to disbelief, that there is something special in believing a load of total codswallop. Oh, there’s something special, all right. That creatures whose sole aim is the destruction of the sovereign liberty of the individual of which they insolently take advantage are welcome in this country.
Who by the way is lecturing me most recently on the moral failihngs of my country? A Sudano-Saudi import. Of course she has a perfect right to speak but I note the creature fails to stand in the middle of Khartoum or Riyadh and lecture her own countries on their moral failings. Little Nesrine might get hurt if she did that. Far cushier to have a soft target.
You really need look no further than the raving nut-job Sacranie solemnly opinion the British should not be permitted to criticize Islam. Instead of being laughed out of the country he was catapulted into the Establishment.
Like the rest of the filthy brutes, it of course assumes people are dictated to, that our business is to obey our masters.
‘Baroness’ Warsi, another one shuffled into the Establishment. That’s one hilarious, absolute total mong. I fisked her at some point, just for a laugh.

Extracts
In particular, I want to say three things:
First, I want to highlight what I mean by this rising religious illiteracy and condemn the bigotry which it feeds.
No, Baroness, it is I who have defined religious illiteracy. You say not one intelligent word about it
Second, I want to explain why I feel these problems are happening.
And third, I want to set out how we can start to deal with it.
In other words, in my last speech, I said that this government does God.
This time, I’m saying we get God.
Bully for you, old girl. Laughable of course in the context of one who speaks of religious illiteracy. Which God, whose God, how many Gods, male or female or indeterminate gender, corporeal, ethereal, ectoplasmic
what I mean by that is we understand faith.
Not if this is the intellectual level on which the government operates.
I am not saying that people can’t be anti-religion.
How dashed good of you.
What I am opposed to is the rise of unreasonable, unfounded, irrational bigotry.
As I have just said, I should like to know what you mean by that. The dull, despicable and evil religious fascist animal is not liked. While religious apologists deny some religious people are dull, despicable and evil, they will find opposition to them unreasonable, unfounded and irrational.
The mindless brute brandishing his Koran is no different to the mindless brute bashing his Bible, his copy of Das Kapital or his copy of Mein Kampf, the One Book to which all other books must be subordinate, on the ludicrous basis that his book alone contains truth, and the disgusting basis that the rest of the human race are subordinate to him, his property.
It is the life of civilized society that has been assaulted – no, not by religion, by the resurrection from the grave of the religious fascist, the religious moron, the religious psychopath,
Where religion itself becomes a loaded word…
It is the religious who loaded it. Never forget that, Baroness..
When I was a child I spake as a child – sorry, no, thinking of something else. It is the religious apes, the primitives, the savages, in the Anglican Communion exemplified by the animal twitching, frothing at the mouth, throwing himself against the walls of his padded cell at the thought of female or gay priests, in Islam exemplified by fascists such as Sacranie, who have turned a country which broadly speaking, whether one believed or not, thought religion was a thing of light and love and beauty, embodied by the 23rd Psalm, into a country which broadly speaking thinks organized religion is the enemy of the human race.
This animal is dangerous; it defends itself when attacked. Rational, civilized people such as I and Richard Dawkins will not submit to mad nonsense.
The absolute incapacity of the religious apologist for self-criticism, their overwhelming preference for whining at civilized people for loathing what is loathsome, is really very funny.
…where free discussion is drowned out by a sensationalist media…
You are in the University of Leicester. Initiate free discussion
…and where there simply is no room for fair-minded debate.
Ah, that would be the fair-minded debate you are not instigating. Alas, fair-mindedness and intellectual rigour indicate that there is no proof the existence of God. It is a matter of choice. Let me reason. One of us has to. The majority of the population of the world does not believe the Koran is the word of God, agreed? If they did, they would be Muslims and they aren't. Therefore Mohammed was the author of the Koran, therefore those verses that bombers use to justify bombing are the products of Mohammed's mind. Therefore the cartoon was a depiction thereof.
Share with me the fair-minded debate on this subject.
Now some will be surprised to hear me using the language of reason to defend an essentially spiritual phenomenon – namely individual faith.
It would help if you were actually rational.
Others will say that it’s ok to be irrational about religion…
Will they? Who is being irrational about religion?
…because religion itself is not open to rational debate.
I don’t accept that.
That religion which is designated variously as literalist or fundamentalist is not open to rational debate. It states clearly that certain propositions are the incontrovertible Will of God.
Faith and Reason go hand in hand.
They can do, yes.
This is a point the Pope has made consistently over the last few years.
All through the Bible, there is a close relationship between faith and reason.
Really? Do tell me more. Genesis, perhaps?
Perhaps the most telling are the opening words of the Gospel of John.
“In the beginning was the Word…
…and the Word was with God….
…and the Word was God”.
“The Word was God”
I do not seem to be able to discern an argument in these statements
So, at the very heart of Christian faith, we find that Reason and God’s Grace go hand in hand.
Nor do I discern an argument there.
I think it’s fair to say that the speech caused a bit of a stir in some quarters.
The New Humanist Magazine ran a poll of their readers which ranked me the fifth most dangerous enemy of reason last year.
Having read and re-read this current speech one quite sees why. Warsi neither defines terms nor presents arguments.
I was about to think that actually, I hadn’t done too badly, when I discovered that the Koran-burning Pastor, Terry Jones, came one place below me!
But overall I believe the impact of the speech was really positive.
And the main thing I discovered by doing the speech was that there is a large, untapped appetite for a more mature discussion of faith in this country.
I agree entirely. Unfortunately few on the faith side, and certainly not you in this article.initiate such a discussion
I sensed that people were fed up of the patronising, superficial way faith is discussed in certain quarters, including the media…
….and that sadly there has been a rise in a sloppy kind of religious illiteracy.
What is 'a sloppy kind of religious illiteracy'?
Mature discussion of religion would start by considering the phenomenon of revelation, the role of consciousness therein, and the likelihood or otherwise that God chose certain people in certain places to whom to communicate his will. It would further consider that the will communicated bore considerable resemblance to the baser desires of homo sapiens and the likelihood that the whole of science is wrong and God was right or alternatively that God had no comprehension of his own creation. It would contemplate the phenomenon of those who insist that the universe and its inhabitants are as described hundreds of years ago. It would move on to the numerous religious persons who do not believe that,. Such as discussion would embrace the infinite variety of religion, the many concepts of the nature, being and gender of deity or deities, the gamut of belief that exist within each individual religion, from the fundamentalist to the mystic, would consider metaphor and allegory in holy books, non-dualism, the polarities of reality and illusion, form and essence, self and other and love and fear. Warsi commits the fundamental dishonesty common to most apologists for faith, that being insistence religion is a homogenous entity opposed to unbelief. She thus refuses to acknowledge that what one religious person means by ‘God’ may be the polar opposite of what another religious person means by that much abused word and that psychologically a Southern red-neck Christian who wants to nuke the Muslim world is the soul-brother of the Islamist nutter who wants the West under the crescent, both of course sharing the same slavering loathing of feminism, gay rights and probably Jews, as the bookish, peaceful and loving atheist is on the same side as the bookish, peaceful and loving believer. What you are is not the label you hang around your neck.
Many religious leaders of all kinds routinely uphold an anti-intellectual, anti-rational faith of those who are both emotionally and intellectually inadequate, whom indeed the religious leaders have taught to be so and have no intention of teaching them to be either emotionally or intellectually mature, but rather demand the silencing of reason and intellect should these disturb the faithful.
The greatest enemy of a mature discussion of religion is the religious who shout down if not worse religious thinkers, and thus seize the floor and so communicate to the rest of us that religion is the domain solely of swivel-eyed loons.
To take two instances from the Anglican Communion, Bishop John Robinson caused furore the 1960s with his brilliant book Honest to God. Some 60 years later, Archbishop Rowan Williams was condemned by his own for saying there probably weren’t any wise men at the Nativity.
So it was important to take stock of where Britain is with faith.
Actually that is moot. I do not frankly care if my neighbour believes in the Sacred Anteater of Quetzacoatl, so long and he or she is decent civilized human being, happy for all of us to find our own way and hopefully helping old ladies across the road to boot.
And I am delighted to be here today to build on what I said.
Your University is helping to raise the whole standard of faith-based debate in this country.
Possibly, Baroness. Not by your contribution, however.
Truly, the earth is not flat
Religion is a multi-faceted affair. Organized religion is the suppression of a multi-faceted, intricate reality. Organized and political religion is largely the official representatives of a bunch of psychiatric cases whose hallmark is that the universe and its inhabitants are as defined by a guy or guys a large number of years ago because 'God' told them that was how the universe (and of course its inhabitants, especially the females ones) are. If you do not believe the earth is flat, you are not a 'real' Jew/Christian/Muslim/Hindu/Sikh etc.
If God a being exists, conversation with It and sundry other beings - Michael? Gabriel? Raphael?- and puh-lease 'It' is the only rational pronoun, must provide hours not to say aeons of delight to Darwin, Huxley, Crick, Watson, Einstein, Schroedinger, sharing Its knowledge of space-time and evolutionary biology, introducing them to other universes in the multiverse where other physical and biological laws apply. Now that's diversity.
To put it more formally, any entity called God must by definition be omniscient and there can be no requirement to pay the slightest attention either to any product of the human imagination who clearly hasn't a clue or to his followers. The word you seek is mad. Madness is generally held to be divorce from reality and such persons dwell in a world that exists only in their heads.
Indeed, if in the course of conversation someone tells you the earth is flat, it does not instantly strike you that he and those who share his mind are critical voices in the running of the nation. If he goes on to tell you he thinks everyone who disparages him and those who share his mind should be locked up, executed or otherwise punished, you may indeed conclude that it is he and those who share his mind who should be locked up for their own safety and that of those around them.
The fight is for a world-view grounded in reality. The war against flat-earthers has really very little to do with whether there are or are not deities of some kind, indifferent or caring, whether the universe is chaotic or orderly, whether the Beijing Olympics happened concurrently in curved space and so is behind us and the universe as we know it is the result of a ping-pong ball straying into our dimension. The basic proposition to be confronted and defeated is that the universe has to be approached on one's knees. It is all known. While normal people have opinions or theories, put forward propositions, may indeed have strongly held beliefs, the excrement claim to know that which is untenable, that for which there is no shred of evidence, that which is readily countered, that which is rampantly sick nonsense.
The universe, we have from no less a source than Douglas Adams, is like big, man. Yahweh-Allah-Jehovah may at best be deemed a very local, provincial deity, obsessed as he supposedly is by the minutiae of the behaviour of the inhabitants of the third rock from the sun, right down to the menstrual cycle of the human female, where perhaps he is most obviously the figment of the imagination of the primitive human male, with ape-man's obsession with female virginity coming a good joint second with the simple hairy notion that, since he is an incontinent male animal, incapable of either self-control or individuation of the females of the species, those females should be modest in order not to unleash his lust. Nor has Yahweh-Allah-Jehovah had anything to say of late. Perhaps he has cleared off to some other part of the universe and has lost all interest in the human race.
Flat-earthism has very obvious basic tenets:
There is an alpha baboon in the sky whose majesty and whose self-appointed representatives must be spoken of with awe, respect and blah.
This alpha ape, like his human counterparts, requires people on their knees to him saying how wonderful he is.
Creationism
Women and gays belong to different and inferior species; usually this is held true of those of other races also
Heaven and hell and virgins and eternal flames
Frank affirmation of human self-centredness, the assumption the rest of the world revolves around them and is subordinate to them, the unquestioned belief that 'I' is the centre of the universe and they can demand others comply with them, the unquestioned enshrining of pure ego as divine will
Thinking, autonomy, independent judgement of mind and heart. are evil, for the rather obvious actual reason that anyone who thinks regards the ravings of the acolytes of a minority death-cult as sick crap and the given reason, which a child of six can see through, or at any rate a child of six not drugged from birth, that it is the evil of self-will, of thinking one knows better than 'God', or in other words them
Who are of course all pretty stupid. Lkie you gotta factor that in, man, they are unused to being challenged, incapable of dealing with rational people, incapable of independent thought. Authority is of course the refuge of the mong.
The free world is the consequence of the teachings of Jesus: liberty is a function of love; control is a function of self-will. The level on which it all fits together is not only accessible to atheists, but acceptable to atheists; God is not a necessary precursor. Then again, if we want to keep it simple, religion is two things, from one of which follows liberty and from the other fascism.
You are not self-forgetting by definition if you are forcing others to obey you. Grace is paramountly not forcing oneself on others other than to restrain them from forcing themselves on others. To love one's neighbour as oneself is not to inflict beliefs he or she finds questionable on him or her. People are and have to be free to go wherever they might be going. Society's business is limited to demanding they behave tolerably to each other and ensuring they are free to travel. We do not know.
There was an earlier universe before the Big Bang, and evidence for its existence can still be observed in black holes, a Nobel Prize-winning physicist has said.
Sir Roger Penrose made the claim after recently winning the award for breakthroughs in Einstein’s general theory of relativity and proof of the existence of black holes.
Sir Roger argues that the existence of unexplained spots of electromagnetic radiation in the sky – known as ‘Hawking Points’ – are remnants of a previous universe.
It is part of the "conformal cyclic cosmology" theory of the universe, and it is suggested that these points are the final expulsion of energy called ‘Hawking radiation’, transferred by black holes from the older universe.
Black holes are a region of space where matter has collapsed on itself, and has such a high gravitational force that not even light can escape.
Such an event may be occuring in the centre of our galaxy; Reinhard Genzel and Andrea Ghez, who shared the Nobel Prize with Sir Roger, offered the most compelling evidence of a supermassive black hole in the middle of the Milky Way.
There is a possibility that the timescale for the complete evaporation of a black hole could be longer than the age of our current universe, and therefore could not be detected.
“I claim that there is observation of Hawking radiation. The Big Bang was not the beginning. There was something before the Big Bang and that something is what we will have in our future”, Sir Roger said, according to The Telegraph.
It expands and expands, and all mass decays away, and in this crazy theory of mine, that remote future becomes the Big Bang of another aeon.
“So our Big Bang began with something which was the remote future of a previous aeon and there would have been similar black holes evaporating away, via Hawking evaporation, and they would produce these points in the sky, that I call Hawking Points.
“We are seeing them. These points are about eight times the diameter of the Moon and are slightly warmed up regions. There is pretty good evidence for at least six of these points.”
However, many have criticised the idea and the existence of the type of radiation from these black holes is yet to be confirmed.
Moreover, if an infinitely large universe in one existence has to become an infinitely small universe in the next, it would be required that all particles lose their mass as the universe ages, a notion that has also been met with scepticism.
According to standard cosmology, the universe underwent a brief expansion or ‘inflation’ after the Big Bang, which would have removed irregularities in the structure of the universe.
In response, Sir Roger said that black holes were also dismissed as only existing in mathematics, until their existence in reality was proved.
"People were very sceptical at the time, it took a long time before black holes were accepted... their importance is, I think, only partially appreciated”, he said, as reported by the BBC.

The real world is really far too exciting, too stimulating, to bother with your ludicrous fairy-tales. This stuff comes up in my Google feed. It appears in national newspapers.
By the way no-one has ever explained why ‘God’, who supposedly created the world, the universe, the universes, is irrational. I just don’t think a non-rational being can do all that.
Or of course why ‘God’ is so totally screamingly ignorant of the universe he supposedly created.
But then of course whether or not it exists at all, what we told iis ‘God’ is so obviously an invention of the human male as to be funny, made wholly in Man’s image and likeness.
They are so fucking pathetic, these sick twisted old monkeys, dirty smelly monstrously evil old monkeys forcing their monkey dribble on us.
This senile, intellectually and morally derelict, sexually perverted animal they call the Pope has had me treated like a naughty little girl, to be ignored as an attention-seeking child. What I actually am is a highly educated, highly intelligent woman of 65 who has been bestially abused by the slave-vermin of this Pope creature, crippled by them, and who objects to both that and the numerous crimes they so insolently commit to further the destruction of democracy and the overthrow of the rule of law. I am actually probably far more intelligent than he. He sits there clutching his smelly wizened cock and jabbering his pathetic monkey words, insolent, self-willed, rebellious, arrogant, evil, which simply mean that I have a mind of my own and know how to use it - and to conceal the fact that he doesn't have a mind of his own and consequently is unable to use it, can only jabber the monkey-puke in his head, has no arguments, has no facts, is intellectually void, a fat smelly little ape wafting around the Vatican in a white dress the supreme insolence of assuming he can dictate to humans his own, the supreme evil of insisting we all be monkeys, incapable of independent action of heart and mind, like he is: the faithful receive with docility the teachings and directives that their pastors give them in different forms.
100 The task of interpreting the Word of God authentically has been entrusted solely to the Magisterium of the Church, that is, to the Pope and to the bishops in communion with him
Catechism of the Catholic Church
if ever four lines of sickness and madness showed these vermin to be a threat to the civilized world.
Yes, I think every single one of you without exception should be prosecuted for treason, for being the agents of hostile fascist foreign powers and enthusiastically carrying out the commands of those powers with the purpose of the destruction of a free, democratic, rational and civilized society and the replacement of a free, democratic rational and civilized society by a wholly intellectually and morally corrupt, sexually perverted sewer, a dirty kinky-boy ape-nest where a woman’s body is a punch-bag and woman’s mind is joke, a fascist ape-hole where all that matters is to obey.
That's what religion does, that's what it excels at, producing subhuman vermin who butcher and destroy to order.
Remind you of a few more facts animal vermin
A SHORT HISTORY LESSON Magna Carta: 1215
The Pope denounced Magna Carta as the work of the devil, you know. Others think it a cornerstone of Anglo-American democracy. Britannia ecclesiam romanam non amat neque amabat.
Welcome, therefore to England, land of Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, Charles I, Cromwell, William of Orange, the Glorious Revolution, Paine, Darwin, Marx. Of course in turdville they know no history. Faith schools not all they're cracked up to be then?
1534: Act of Supremacy established the Church of England, of which the monarch is the head.
Once upon a time there was a king called Charles. He had a Catholic wife, upheld the rejected concept of the divine right of kings and cosied up to Rome. His head ended up separated from his body, rolling gently away from him down Whitehall.
English Civil War 1642-1651
30 January 1649 Execution of Charles I
Shortly after, there was another king called James and his reign ended with the Glorious Revolution and the installation of the resolutely Protestant William of Orange and the law-makers rather thought they'd settled things once and for all.
1688 Glorious Revolution and establishment of Protestant succession
It can be argued that James's overthrow began modern English parliamentary democracy: never since has the monarch held absolute power, and the Bill of Rights has become one of the most important documents in the political history of Britain. The deposition of the Roman Catholic James II ended any chance of Catholicism becoming re-established in England, and led to limited toleration for nonconformist Protestants — it would be some time before they had full political rights. For Catholics, however, it was disastrous both socially and politically. Catholics were denied the right to vote and sit in the Westminster Parliament for over 100 years afterwards. They were also denied commissions in the army and the monarch was forbidden to be Catholic or marry a Catholic, thus ensuring a Protestant succession. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glorious_Revolution
And I do declare that no foreign prince, person, prelate, state or potentate hath or ought to have any jurisdiction,
power, superiority, pre-eminence or authority, ecclesiastical or spiritual, within this realm.
And whereas it hath been found by experience that it is inconsistent with the safety and welfare of this Protestant kingdom to be governed by a popish prince, or by any king or queen marrying a papist, the said Lords Spiritual and Temporal and Commons do further pray that it may be enacted, that all and every person and persons that is, are or shall be reconciled to or shall hold communion with the see or Church of Rome, or shall profess the popish religion, or shall marry a papist, shall be excluded and be for ever incapable to inherit, possess or enjoy the crown and government of this realm and Ireland and the dominions thereunto belonging or any part of the same, or to have, use or exercise any regal power, authority or jurisdiction within the same;
English Bill of Rights, 1689
The office of Prime Minister had yet to be created. Academic lawyers could argue for years about whether it was within the spirit of the law that it is inconsistent with the safety and welfare of this Protestant kingdom to have the Prime Minister married to a Catholic.
Indeed they were bloody lawyers. They knew what they were messing with.
And then roughly 100 years later there was a little upset in France and another king found his head rolling gently away from his body and lots of blood coming from his neck and there was the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Civil Constitution of the Clergy and they just don't seem to learn, cos they got Troof.
French Revolution 1789-1799
12 July 1790 Civil Constitution of the Clergy making all Roman Catholic priests subordinate to the French government
21 January 1793 Execution of Louis XVI
17 November 1793 celebration of the goddess 'Reason' in Notre-Dame de Paris
4 July 1776 Declaration of Independence of these United States of America
The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America was adopted in December 1791.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or
abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Probably the Vatican didn't even notice, being somewhat more locally engaged. Others, however, did and do.
They didn't surrender to the voice of sweet reason. They were forced to surrender and indeed fought a valiant rearguard action.
Wherefore, civil society must acknowledge God as its Founder and Parent, and must obey and reverence His power and authority. justice therefore forbids, and reason itself forbids, the State to be godless; or to adopt a line of action which would end in godlessness--namely, to treat the various religions (as they call them) alike, and to bestow upon them
promiscuously equal rights and privileges. Since, then, the profession of one religion is necessary in the State, that religion must be professed which alone is true, and which can be recognized without difficulty, especially in Catholic
States, because the marks of truth are, as it were, engraven upon it. This religion, therefore, the rulers of the State must preserve and protect, if they would provide--as they should do--with prudence and usefulness for the good of
the community. For public authority exists for the welfare of those whom it governs; and, although its proximate end is to lead men to the prosperity found in this life, yet, in so doing, it ought not to diminish, but rather to increase, man's capability of attaining to the supreme good in which his everlasting happiness consists: which never can be attained if religion be disregarded.
22. All this, however, We have explained more fully elsewhere. We now only wish to add the remark that liberty of so false a nature is greatly hurtful to the true liberty of both rulers and their subjects. Religion, of its essence, is wonderfully helpful to the State. For, since it derives the prime origin of all power directly from God Himself, with grave authority it charges rulers to be mindful of their duty, to govern without injustice or severity, to rule their
people kindly and with almost paternal charity; it admonishes subjects to be obedient to lawful authority, as to the ministers of God; and it binds them to their rulers, not merely by obedience, but by reverence and affection,
forbidding all seditions and venturesome enterprises calculated to disturb public order and tranquillity, and cause greater restrictions to be put upon the liberty of the people. We need not mention how greatly religion conduces to pure morals, and pure morals to liberty. Reason shows, and history confirms the fact, that the higher the morality of States, the greater are the liberty and wealth and power which they enjoy.
23. We must now consider briefly liberty of speech, and liberty of the press. It is hardly necessary to say that there can be no such right as this, if it be not used in moderation, and if it pass beyond the bounds and end of all true liberty. For right is a moral power which--as We have before said and must again and again repeat--it is absurd to suppose that nature has accorded indifferently to truth and falsehood, to justice and injustice. Men have a right freely and prudently to propagate throughout the State what things soever are true and honorable, so that as many as possible may possess them; but Iying opinions, than which no mental plague is greater, and vices which corrupt the heart and moral life should be diligently repressed by public authority, lest they insidiously work the ruin of the State. The excesses of an unbridled intellect, which unfailingly end in the oppression of the untutored multitude, are no less
rightly controlled by the authority of the law than are the injuries inflicted by violence upon the weak. And this all the more surely, because by far the greater part of the community is either absolutely unable, or able only with great difficulty, to escape from illusions and deceitful subtleties, especially such as flatter the passions. If unbridled license of speech and of writing be granted to all, nothing will remain sacred and inviolate; even the highest and truest mandates of natures, justly held to be the common and noblest heritage of the human race, will not be spared. Thus, truth being gradually obscured by darkness, pernicious and manifold error, as too often happens, will easily prevail. Thus, too, license will gain what liberty loses; for liberty will ever be more free and secure in proportion as license is kept in fuller restraint. In regard, however, to all matter of opinion which God leaves to man's free discussion, full liberty of thought and of speech is naturally within the right of everyone; for such liberty never leads men to suppress the truth, but often to discover it and make it known.
Libertas, Leo XIII, 1888
For you well know, venerable brethren, that at this time men are found not a few who, applying to civil society the impious and absurd principle of "naturalism," as they call it, dare to teach that "the best constitution of public society and (also) civil progress altogether require that human society be conducted and governed without regard being had to religion any more than if it did not exist; or, at least, without any distinction being made between the true religion and false ones." And, against the doctrine of Scripture, of the Church, and of the Holy Fathers, they do not hesitate to
assert that "that is the best condition of civil society, in which no duty is recognized, as attached to the civil power, of restraining by enacted penalties, offenders against the Catholic religion, except so far as public peace may require." From which totally false idea of social government they do not fear to foster that erroneous opinion, most fatal in its effects on the Catholic Church and the salvation of souls, called by Our Predecessor, Gregory XVI, an "insanity,"2 viz., that "liberty of conscience and worship is each man's personal right, which ought to be legally proclaimed and asserted in every rightly constituted society; and that a right resides in the citizens to an absolute liberty, which should be restrained by no authority whether ecclesiastical or civil, whereby they may be able openly and publicly to manifest and declare any of their ideas whatever, either by word of mouth, by the press, or in any other way." But, while they rashly affirm this, they do not think and consider that they are preaching "liberty of perdition;"3 and that "if human arguments are always allowed free room for discussion, there will never be wanting men who will dare to resist truth, and to trust in the flowing speech of human wisdom; whereas we know, from the very teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, how carefully Christian faith and wisdom should avoid this most injurious babbling."4
Quanta Cura, Pius IX 1864
It is doubtful whether England would accept governance by the heavenly host but by an organization as utterly tainted as the Vatican - you cannot be serious. But of course there is always ignorance and ignorance is enthusiastically cultivated by clerical and secular anti-educators alike
The Reformation was a number of things. One of them was people failing to make a connection between Jesus's teachings and what is known of his life and a mega-buck empire based in Rome. Since neither the New Testament nor the mega-buck empire has vanished, people continue to fail to make the connection, regardless of how many saintly priests do good works in abject poverty.
How simple is it possible to make this? Jesus did not like religious farts. A large number of people inside the Churches and outside them, follow Jesus because he did not like religious farts. Attempting to foist religious farts on people on the grounds they represent Jesus isn't going to wash.
And how it's done, the conversion of a democracy to a theocracy, is of course by seizing the citadels of bourgeois power, politicans as puppets.
It goes on and on, the filth, the attempted indoctrination that faith is intrinsically superior, when it is entirely evident that it isn't
And in the very dead of night, long after even the most determined revellers are tucked up in their little beds, long after the foxes have finished crashing around in the bins, when it's absolutely quiet, if you put your ear to the ground you can hear a rustling noise like dry paper. That's money talking.
Filthy peasants, savages, animals the lot of them, unfit for the company of civilized people, which is pretty much why the Catholic Church was kicked out in 1688, just not nice to be near; like the equally repulsive Muslims not capable of playing nicely with the other children, throwing their weight around, bully-boys having to be cock of the walk. Nbody cares, you sick old chimps, now less than ever.

Kilana siy tan. There is no harm to the ego, the self, because it is illusory. It does not get antsy, threatened, because it isn’t there, or if there is not dominant, does not automatically, as one does, assume itself of greater importance. Thus ‘you cannot talk to me like that because I am the emperor’ has no place in the construct; nor of course does ‘you cannot talk to me like that because I am an officer’. I have received a certain amount of straight talking from what used to be called the other ranks though equally many have understood what I was trying to do; I think Challin possibly had a discreet hand in that. In any case the general consensus is that I bit off a great deal more than I could chew and got delicately, courteously, possibly the biggest bollocking it has ever been my misfortune to receive, an outcome with which they are of course content. No harm done….No, I am not digressing! Sure, you can talk to me like that, because I am a human being. As such, however, I am not required to like what you say. I think I noticed. The physical body, however, is very much there. Harm lies in physical injury, physical duress, because any such damage, any physical constraint upon volition is not illusory. I did just wonder when he mentioned PANTHER dragging me to my feet. Never in a million years. I should have to have become violent first. That is the principle of the initiation of force. Everything’s cool, so long as both parties are free to walk away. I’m not sure it’s quite that simple, but it seems a more than adequate base. The everything that matters therefore included me. This guy is upset. That matters. What is he upset about? However, also, I am adult and fully in possession of my faculties. I can be expected to communicate in an adult fashion and I can expect to be told how moronic I am, whether I have an ego or not! Also a lot of other things are mattering too so do not waste my time, puh-lease! I have learned another one for the dictionary: ‘my stuff’. But Ritawa, this is all your stuff, man, nothing to do with us. True-untrue? Certainly nothing prompted by the immediate situation, as for instance a remark about AMI with which I took issue.
Everything not tainted by harm has a gurgle of laughter in it. I just think about that. I saw it. I think that must be serious harm. Obviously they don’t find the Cult funny but I don’t think it would much have spoiled the party if I had made to hit him or something grotesque like that. I think I may be flushing even as I write this but I think overall they would have found that – not unfunny. I took a deep breath and asked: had I made to hit her? Should I not instantly have been clapped in irons! Er, no. My lady Maya is Hadin-Wadud. I should probably have found myself on the floor with my arms twisted behind my back. Let me say that increases the number of counts on which I am remarkably glad I did nothing so vile!
All of it, all of them, the Anile throne, Alzani-Meta, PANTHER, VILE, the Hadin-Wadud, are the outward and exoteric aspects of the party, its interface with the normal world. You simply do not push other people around, smear your self over them and they are not to be terrorized into submission because they have redress. Of course today in the south they equally have redress through the courts, but that essentially is ‘Narulis’ gig’, always has been, so far as possible, and I trust always will be: if you have certain kinds of problem, you find a cat. Or of course the emperor’s stewards. Thus under imperial law anyone at all had right of access to the emperor (or presumably empress) and it was a crime to impede that access. ‘From no man may the right of speech be withheld.’
In the end what confronts you ape obscenities is this. It’s very very big and it sure ain’t going anywhere anytime soon. Perhaps you’d like to tell us where the Garden of Eden actually is.
Oh come on, you sick old freaks. In your words, in your own palpably insane words, to you alone was given the task of interpretation and you alone know what it all means. That should be enough to make you the laughing stock of Europe.
